Shay Turner | Director of Guest Services
I have called Stone County home for my entire life. Born and raised here, my husband and I are now raising our family here. We have three kiddos; a girl and two boys. We love the Ozark small-town feel with all the local artisans and musicians. The live Folk Music on the square in Mountain View is definitely a draw for us on warm summer nights. We enjoy antiquing and thrifting around the historical court square and nearby towns. My family loves the outdoors so we often drive and hike the backroads of our area. Water and woods are our favorite types of adventuring. Vacation rentals offer so much more than a hotel room; our home is your home mentality. We are not just here for a place to stay, we are here for your experience as well. We love our guests.
Nick Nichols | Director of Property Services
Nick is an Arkansas native that discovered Stone County in the early 90s. Looking for his place in the world, Nick visited 46 states and held dozens of jobs – only to find himself back in Stone County for a three month job. He never left – just a few hours from his birthplace – he had found his home. The very next year he built his first house and immersed himself in the local arts and crafts scene, while raising animals and gardening. Nick handles remodels, maintenance, and guest relations for each of our properties. On the rare occasion you don’t find him at one of our cabins, Nick is most likely deep in the Ozark National Forest, floating on the White River, or tossing a delicious pizza at the local Tommy’s Famous Pizzeria.
Teresa Dixon | Director of Operations
I was born in Leslie, Arkansas and raised in Mountain View, Arkansas – so I’ve basically lived here my whole life! My husband and I have also raised our daughter and two sons in Stone County. Being an only child, I love the fact that I am here close to where my parents are.
I enjoy amateur photography and have a wonder and love of animals and nature. We enjoy camping, fishing, and visiting two of our children that now call NWA home. I enjoy being a part of Ivy Vacations and its wonderful team of people.
If the conditions are right, Virginia is in a canoe on the creek with a growler from Gravity Brew Works. (with the burgeoning vacay biz – that hasn’t happened for a while, unfortunately…) Between 2003-2016 she was a Sr. Business Analyst with a $B corporate travel agency in NYC/ London. She is from Mississippi and has lived in Memphis, TN, Gold Hill, CO, and Mokuleia, HI. She visited Mountain View on a long weekend in 2007 and essentially never left. Prior to that she owned and operated a café and live music venue in Memphis called The Map Room. She is also licensed realtor with Garland Company Real Estate.
This is a swank place. Stayed there while traveling for a work project. Would return with my wife for vacation in a heartbeat. A great space for those who like to cook, entertain, or retreat. Right in the heart of downtown Mountain View. Nothing but five stars. Plus, the staff at Ivy are over the top helpful, responsive, and knowledgeable. Global travel industry know-how that is small-town personable. What more could you want.Scott | Colorado, USA
Loved being on the river, in the quaint town of Pangburn. Ivy’s service was above and beyond and they met every need we had, and made us feel it was their pleasure to do so. The house was just what we were looking for and as advertised. And when I left an item behind after check out, they were happy to secure it for us and mail it to our home. Highly recommended!Deidre | Eugene, MO
We were already pretty excited to stay here, and it exceeded our expectations. The house was spotless and the view was just breathtaking. I cannot wait to return many, many times. The host even provided local tips on places to go see and those were appreciated. Absolutely amazing, and the host was so communicative. We highly recommend this spot to anyone looking.Chelsea | Metairie, LA
Our group thought Fifty-Six Cabin was amazing. Location couldn’t be better with the proximity to North Sylamore Creek trails. The firepit and games out back are where we spent most are time but the cabin is spacious, extremely clean and perfect. The staff at Ivy Vacations are great hosts. This is our 4th stay at one of their cabins. You’re about 20 minutes from charming town of Mountain View but there is a small country store and restaurant right near the cabin.Amanda | Dallas, TX
Thank you so much Joy, Nick, Jacque, Virginia, and everyone else behind the scenes. Just a delight booking and planning things out. Had a wonderful stay and greatly enjoyed the goodies and food Nick picked up for us. I think that might have been the most comfortable bed I’ve ever slept on. You all are running a great operation. Hope to be able to come back again.Henry | Irvin, TX
We absolutely loved our stay at Coolwater Comfort! Upon arriving we immediately noticed how neat and tidy everything was on the outside and inside. The open floor plan and layout of the cabin was more than enough space for our 2 dogs, 4 adults, and 2 children. The cabin had the cutest decor and we enjoyed checking out all the detail that went into this place. They’re right, the bunk bed is extremely sturdy and much bigger than what the picture showed. During our stay we had extremely cold weather (windchills in the single digits) so we loved utilizing the extra heat source of the fire place. We never got cold in the cabin. We have stayed at 2 other cabins in Mountain View and this was by far our favorite place! Thank you for providing such a clean, beautiful, and fun cabin for our stay!Justin | Jonesboro, AR
