What a beautiful cabin! This place is extremely clean and well stocked. Pictures don’t do it justice. The creek is beautiful also. What a perfect location for a getaway. For future visitors, if you are looking for fine dining with drinking included, do NOT go to Mountain View. Go to Norfork! You gotta check out PJ’s Lodge! We will be back to this cabin for sure. Loved it!
Great weekend getaway. The hot tub was nice. The house was clean. There were plenty of dishes, pots, and pans to make meals. We didn't use them, but there were two grills and a fire pit. If we had stayed longer, I'm sure we would have used them. The downstairs didn't heat as much as we would have liked, but they provided a space heater that helped a little.
5 stars all the way!!!
We loved our short weekend in this cabin. The indoor and outdoor spaces were beautiful and the views were great. We enjoyed the nearby town, campfires, and the hot tub. It got a little chilly at times, but the additional space heater made it comfortable. We would come back again.
We so enjoyed a weekend getaway here with our best friends and our dogs. The property was perfect for relaxing, reading, and catching up with pals that we don’t get to see often! There was space for the dogs to run around while we chilled in the hot tub, and a great setup to cool and bond over glasses of wine. Sometimes you just need to cozy up away from the world and this was the perfect place for that. Also clean, well maintained, and unique modern yet rustic vibe. LOVED! *I’ll be sharing more pics and details on the travel section of my blog: okaytobeinbetween.com
This is an excellent cabin in a wonderful location and I'm sure we'd have loved it in warmer weather. But on the freezing weekend we stayed the "portable" hot tub didn't get above 64 deg F, so no soaking creekside; and the cabin was barely kept warm by the couple space heaters and window unit. The staff was great and very friendly making sure we had directions and access. The wifi worked well.
Our family of 5 took a last-minute break for a winter getaway. We couldn’t have loved the Livingston Camphouse more. It was plenty big for our family, but still felt cozy. We built fires in the firepit every night, (They even provided the firewood!) cooked meals at the cabin, played board games, and ended each night in the hot tub. We saw deer and turkeys in the yard several times, and saw an otter along the creekbank. Even though it was COLD when we were there, my favorite was bundling up and drinking coffee each morning on the big covered deck, listening to the sound of water in the pretty little creek. We will absolutely be back!
This gorgeous cabin conveniently located right outside Mtn View, Arkansas was so perfect for us. The creek is right behind the house and the kayak was such a fun touch! We loved it and will be back.
We had a great weekend. The cabin was excellent, just like the pictures. Adorable and clean. The kids enjoyed it. Lot of activities. Have already talked about going back. Thank you!
This was my second stay with Ivy Vacations, and my first at Livingston Creek Cabin. The cabins are simple, but well appointed with high-quality furnishings and kitchen equipment, like staying at a friend's house - but a thoughtful friend who invested in a high-quality mattress for the guest room. They seem to anticipate everything you might need, and if you have any questions or requests, they are incredibly responsive and friendly. The Livingston Creek Cabin felt like I was miles away from civilization, but close enough to Mountain View that I could make a quick trip to the grocery store without any hassle. I hiked the creek and saw a lot of aquatic life, and the bird-watching from the cabin porch was excellent. I really hate to leave. This might be the nicest cabin I've ever rented.
This was our third time renting with Ivy Vacations. The cabin and staff were great as usual.
We absolutely loved this cabin. It was spacious and comfortable and the creek kept us entertained. We will definitely be back as often as possible.
Mountain View was everything we hoped it would be. It was very quiet and peaceful but also within a 15-30 minute drive to a lot of the local attractions and nearby towns. We ventured out daily and returned by late afternoon to enjoy dinner and time on the back porch listening to the flowing creek as the sun was setting. We enjoyed Blachard Caverns and springs, Mirror Lake, the Old Mill and hiking on many of the nearby trails. We also went up to Norfork Lake which was beautiful. We enjoyed lunch the Angler Restaurant in Mountain View as well. Livingston Creek Camp House was amazing! It was cozy and just the perfect size for us. It was well stocked and beautifully decorated just as stated in the description. We loved every minute of our stay and look forward to visiting again in the future.
What a wonderful time! The place was extremely clean. The amenities were exactly add described. If you want a greasy quiet place to very away this is it. Thanks Ivy Vacations. Can't wait to try a different place this fall.
This was our second stay at this cabin. Our stay was lovely. We brought our 3 month old twins and 2 dogs with us and we all had a blast. The property was well maintained and clean. The cabin was spotless and we were welcomed with a sweet little note congratulating us on the twins (we did our baby moon here Dec 2018) and other little goodies. The creek was so fun also. Lots of little fish to catch (and throw back) and tons of crawdads. It was so nice to disconnect from the world. It's a tiny slice of paradise. We will absolutely be back as soon as our schedule allows it. Thanks again Ivy Vacations!
The house was so clean, cute, and quiet. Everything was very well thought-out. For example, dog towels by the door and dark wash cloths for removing make-up. We enjoyed floating in the creek and walking down the country road that this cabin is on. Thanks so much!!
We had a wonderful experience at the cabin on the creek. The house is very clean and comfortable, and has all the necessitates. The beds were all very comfortable, and the washer and dryer is a nice plus. There is no cell phone signal (at least on ATT) at the house, but the house does have WiFi and we were able to make WiFi calls from our phones. There is no cable or satellite TV, but the ROKU works great watch Netflix (have to have your own Netflix account) or you can view one of the free channels on the ROKU. We have a DirecTV NOW (now changed to ATT TV NOW) account, so we accessed it on the ROKU to watch DirecTV. Probably the highlight of the stay was the creek. We had a great time using the provided kayak to paddle around the stream next to the cabin (even after a heavy rain, the depth was only 2 feet at the most). We definately plan to come back!
Every year we take several family trips. Cabins are our favorite. This cabin was perfect for our family (we have four kids). Quit and close to town. Kids played outside and in the creek. We will definitely be returning!
My initial intention was to book a cabin with hopes of our family re-connecting with nature and “unplugging”. Little did I know, we gained so much more than that. We were given the opportunity to laugh, explore, enjoy the beauty of our surroundings and overall, enjoy one another’s company. We thank you for that! We are already looking forward to booking our next adventure through Ivy Vacations in the spring! Directions were pretty good as well! With that, I do have a few suggestions for the cabin we stayed, nothing major and wouldn’t deter us from coming back but food for thought; with a family of 5, the living/seating area needs a more comfortable setting. Possibly the two chairs could be replaced with a more comfortable item. With it being fall, we found ourselves inside after the sun and playing board games or watching a movie and the two chairs were not ideal. Another suggestion would be, leaving instructions for the light & fan switches by back door. May seem silly but it took us two days to figure the fan out. Chilly nights call for the fan to run as heat rises. The first night, upstairs was a sauna and downstairs an igloo! Coffee maker was awesome to have, but we found tons of grounds in our daily coffee-May need replaced. LOVED the washer/dryer!! With the creek near by a must. And thank you so much for letting us bring our dog! We have never seen her so happy to run free and play, just as much as our kids!!
