*DATELINE SEPT 13, 2020: PLEASE BE ADVISED *- This property experienced a near miss with a tornado recently. The extremely well built house was mostly unaffected. The yard however will never look the same. If you are looking at making a far advanced booking know that the trees are predominantly gone from the road entry and few remain on river side. Owners / insurance not decided on future landscape design. We will update pictures and descriptions as we are able. The view of the bluff across the river however is now a much more glorious vista that was previously hidden. The river is unchanged. Good idea to contact the office before making a reservation in the near future.
A craftsman-built beloved family retreat on banks of the Little Red River outside Heber Springs, Arkansas. Pricing is for up to 13 people in main house with 4 bedrooms / 3.5 bath. Additional 6 people in 3 beds + 1 bath can have access to bunk house for additional fee - upon request. Please be sure and click through all the photos and read the full description.
While there is no dock, this is one of the few grand homes on the river that has easy bank access for wading, casting and lounging - if the dam generation is favorable. Record size trout have been caught in the winter months. One of the keepers of this property is a local fishing guide we, of course, highly recommend. (An area locals guide will be sent upon confirmation)
Home is located in a sleepy enclave of full and part time residents. As good neighbors, quiet hours are agreed and no ATVs or firearms. Guests have whole house and river lot acres - 2.5 acres.
Important to note that river is extremely cold, even in summer months and not generally suitable for swimming or wading without protection. Nearby Greer's Ferry Lake has fantastic swimming options.
The world record for a brown trout (40 pounds, 4 ounces) was set in May 1992 on the Little Red River, 29 miles of which had become suitable trout habitat with the completion of the Greers Ferry Dam in the early 1960s. This record stood until it was surpassed in 2009.
Please, feel free to reach out with any questions. We love them.

We had a wonderful weekend. When the sun came out for the first time in over a week on Saturday, my wife and I decided we needed to get the kids out of town and on the river. We found Wildflower on Ivy Vacations' website and asked if we could rent it on short notice for one night. Virginia was very accomodating and got us into the home that day and several hours before the designated check-in. The "cabin" is an enormous home that overlooks the Little Red River and a wonderful area for fly fishing when the water is low. We had a wonderful time and so appreciate Virginia and her team making us feel at home. We will definitely be renting cabins from Ivy Vacations again.
The house is in a great location and was very clean and spacious. Will definitely look at staying again!
Everything was even better than the posted pictures! Even the view was better in person. Everyone in my party was very pleased.
The Wildflower was amazing! There was plenty of room for our whole family. We used the bunkie for our older children so they had their privacy. Both were perfect. The view was amazing, overlooking the little Red every morning watching the fog lift. We would definitely stay here again. Thank you so much for all your help!!
We had an absolutely amazing stay here at Wildflower. The group I was with was a group of fathers and sons for a fishing trip. We had guides from Lobo (right down the river) pick us up right in the back yard in the boats, so we didn't have to drive anywhere to meet them! The house is fully stocked with all the hardware needed to cook too! It is in an awesome spot on the river, with a renowned shoal right down river called Treadwell Shoal, which holds a lot of fish. So if you aren't interested in getting a guide, then you can just go right there when the water is low and fish! Overall we had a fantastic stay and I guarantee we will be staying here again!
Wildflower is a great place to stay! Loved the screened in back porch overlooking the river. Only problem was the master suite stayed warm. AC was working fine but not cooling this room. We would definitely stay here again! Very well equipped kitchen !
And perfect for our familis and children. It was ver clean and they answered all our questions. thank you for sharing you home. swim at lake
