Record size trout have been caught in the winter months. One of the keepers of this property is a local fishing guide we, of course, highly recommend. (An area locals guide will be sent upon confirmation)
Home is located in a sleepy enclave of full and part time residents. As good neighbors, quiet hours are agreed and no ATVs or firearms. Guests have whole house and river dock access - with EMPTY SLIP for your boat.
Important to note that river is extremely cold, even in summer months and not generally suitable for swimming or wading without protection. (river levels fluctuate daily with dam control)
Nearby Greer's Ferry Lake has fantastic swimming options.
The world record for a brown trout (40 pounds, 4 ounces) was set in May 1992 on the Little Red River, 29 miles of which had become suitable trout habitat with the completion of the Greers Ferry Dam in the early 1960s. This record stood until it was surpassed in 2009.
Please, feel free to reach out with any questions. We love them.

Very cozy and quiet cabin in the woods. Everything was wonderful! The back porch was awesome and comfortable. The city was nearby which made everything easy to get to from its location. Will definitely come again!
Had a great stay! Lots of good info on counter. Very clean. Management was great when we contacted them about a trash issue from previous renter.
My large family of 9 stayed here for 4 nights. Everything from the beds and pillows to the couches and sitting areas was very comfortable and relaxing. The kitchen was so well stocked we had no problem cooking for a crowd. I was especially delighted with the large cast iron skillet for cooking our steak and eggs in! We came here primarily to fish for trout but only ended catching a few. I would highly recommend getting a guide if you’re new to the area (we could literally see the boats with guides just reeling them in like crazy!) Some Of the local places we enjoyed were, The Jitterbug coffee shop, Greers Ferry Lake for small mouth fishing, swimming at Sandy Beach and hiking up Sugar Loaf Mountain for some amazing sunrises and sunsets!
We had a great time and the cabin is wonderful ! My dad came to stay with us and it was so clean and nice . It was so calming to sit on The deck and screen porch and watch the river flow . We were in town to see my Grandson graduate and we totally felt “virus” safe. I would highly recommend anyone to stay here. Thank you so much for allowing us to stay 🙂
Everyone was very happy with our accommodations. The close proximity to the marina made fishing very convenient. Don’t worry if you forget something, more than likely you’ll find it during a drawer search! While it was a little warm during our stay, the screened in porch was enjoyed by all especially late at night. The Bluetooth speaker for connecting our audio was a nice touch! Everyone in our party had trouble getting one bar of cell service down here in the river valley. The good news is that the Wi-Fi was very strong at the cabin and we were all able to make calls using Facebook messenger with no problem. We’ll be back! Logan Campbell
This cabin was just what we were looking for with a small group. Our kids loved it. The fishing off the dock wasn’t successful but we had a good time trying. Someone across the way caught a fish so we know they are there. The cool feeling when you walk to the water was such a relief after being on the lake all day. The cabin was stocked with everything you would need. We really enjoyed the screened in porch as well. We will be back for sure.
We had an outstanding experience and will be renting it again it’s like a dream house
We had a great stay that was slightly bungled by maintenance issues. Hoping for a quiet get away where we didn't see anyone (covid). We were greeted by a group of people on the property there to pick up a boat. Then an hour after arrival the AC was actively leaking into the hall. The maintenance man had to come check it out - was there for over an hour while we tried to avoid him and stay out of his way. He left late in the evening with notes for us to check the bucket and the towels on the floor. He came back the next day while we were off the property (with our approval) but was still there hours later with 2 other people fixing it. I know it's not the fault of the owner that the AC leaked but my family and I were just really looking forward to getting away from our house and not seeing anyone and we had 3 seperate groups of people come through. We had a great time overall, just disappointed with all the extra people in our space when we have been sheltering in place for so long.
The cabin was perfect! We had so much fun fishing off the dock. The cabin was close to Lindsey’s Resort where we rented a boat for a day and chartered a trip for the family! It’s close to town and we got some flea market shopping done. My favorite thing about the cabin is the screened back porch where we enjoyed our cool mornings. We had a blast! Thanks Ivy Vacations for checking to make sure we had everything we needed for our stay!
Love this place and we will come back for sure!!!
Sept. 17 - 20 2020 Great 3br, 2bth cabin in great location on the Little Red river. Cabin was super clean and well stocked. Great screened in back porch where we spent 70 % of our time one member even slept on day bed every night. Nice dock with boat slip. Great fishing off the dock. Our group caught well over 50 trout. Overall 5 star. When come to the little red this will be our go to stop. Thanks Ivy for such a wonderful get-away. William Owen
Our group of 7 had a great time during our 3 day stay. Caught a total of 45 trout, most of those were on a guided trip with Stacy, Red River Trout dock. The rest were off the great fishing dock at the cabin. We all loved the house, comfy beds, lots of room and awesome screened in porch. My sisters cooked such delicious meals for everyone and bnl grilled the trout. Very nice clean home, decorated beautifully, the open kitchen/living/dining is perfect for a group. Thanks to the owner for sharing their home with us.
The five of us had a great time on the river. We have adult children, two boys & a girl. Bedroom layout was ideal. Cabin was clean & very nice. Weather was horrible, rainy and cold. Covered dock made it possible to fish in the rain, but fish were stubborn & not biting. Spent our time in front of fire playing cards & board games. We will stay here again.
House was great. no problems. Fishing from dock was biggest disappointment. Could not fish due to all the grass beds by the dock. Ended up renting a boat to be able to catch fish. Really missed the night fishing.
Clean, well equipped, fantastic view of the Little Red River and fine boat dock. Everything we were hoping for!!
