We brought our two boys (6&3) for Spring Break and had a great time! The cabin was the perfect size and has a big deck to lounge as well. The boys could play outside safely as there is very little traffic on the road. You can build a fire outside, or inside if it's chilly. The creek is a 2 minute walk down the road with lots of space to play/lounge/fish. The cabin had everything we needed and was very clean/well kept. Plenty of space for our family. The bunk beds were a hit with the boys. Downtown Mountain View, Blanchard Springs, Locos Ropes, OK Post (horseback riding) are all 10-15 minutes away. We spent most of our time at the Blanchard Springs Recreation Area hiking and fishing. The caverns are awesome and worth the tour. Only downside to this area is there are no paved bike paths we could find; could only ride through the campground areas. There are tons of mountain biking trails though. The property manager, Virginia, was awesome! She was very welcoming and kept in touch to see how our stay was going. She provides lots of great local info as well. We will definitely be back!

Very beautiful and convenient location near Mountain View, White River, Buffalo River, and National Forest. A short walk to Slyman Creek, a beautiful rocky stream with plenty of fish! Our kids had fun catching rock bass, sunfish and trout! Wonderful covered deck to hang out. Beautifully decorated studio. Really enjoyed our stay!

This place is absolutely the perfect get-away for someone looking to digress into nature. The studio was well-appointed, comfortable, very clean and situated in a picturesque setting. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here and look forward to visiting again! A perk was the opportunity to share this time with our two dogs as well!

    I will not be back

The Studio at Sylamore Creek is absolutely beautiful. It feels as if you are staying in a treehouse. Wildlife is abundant. Photographers be ready to take beautiful pictures. I recommend this cabin to anyone who wants to get away and unplug.
  6. 5/5
The cabin was wonderful! Exactly as described and more comfortable than we imagined. The surrounding area was excellent...especially the water and the wildlife and the weather was fabulous! Highly recommend Kin Folks BBQ and Tommy's Pizza! Blanchard Cavern is a must see and OK Trading Post for horseback ride was great!
  7. 5/5
We had a relaxing weekend and enjoyed swimming in Sylamore Creek. The cabin was beautiful and clean. We enjoyed drinking coffee on the deck in the mornings.
  8. 5/5
We loved the Studio Cabin! Perfect place to have some family down time! it allowed us to spend some much needed time with our kids and it had everything we needed!
  9. 5/5
Peaceful and relaxing. Studio was perfect. Plan to vacation here again.
  10. 5/5
Beautiful cabin with great water access, the creek was perfect. There were lots of great activities nearby, we went horse back riding and did a cave tour at Blanchard Springs Caverns. We would definitely recommend this property.
  11. 5/5
This was the perfect getaway. I have been looking for a place for me to do my annual weekend to destress. I found it. The creek just a short walk was great and the proximity to town and all kinds of other activities just adds to the property. The final selling point were the simple touches, like the doggie bowl with dog treats and the doggie beds. I WILL BE BACK!
  12. 5/5
I cannot say enough great things about the studio. We were looking for a perfect get away, and we found it here. It had all of the basics necessities plus a few great perks. It was the perfect size for our family of 3. Our 5-year-old loved the bunk beds. I loved the basic kitchen for our simple meals. Morning coffee on the font porch was my absolute favorite way to wake up. Virginia and Emily were very responsive and communicated perfectly for our arrival and departure needs. Don't hesitate to book any of their properties. You will be happy with your decision to do so! If you've got the time, go and see the majestic Blanchard Springs Caverns! It is a hidden gem. The hiking trails around the cavern are great. We drove all the way to the end of the Blanchard Springs park and found an amazing swimming spot. Gunner Pool also had a great swimming spot. Mountain View has all of the basic necessities you may need. Get a burger at The Wing Shack! Overall we could not have found a more perfect place for our summer get away. We can't wait to book our next trip to the area.
  13. 5/5
This was a great place! Out of town, so quiet..enjoyed breakfast on the big front porch. A small walk from a beautiful swim hole. They are also so easy to work with!

Have never visited Mountain View and found this cabin. Was skeptical at first because of the affordable price, (thinking how good can this really be) but decided to give it a try. I felt better about my decision because the crew at Ivy Vacations were very attentive to all the questions I had (I sent them quite a few on different occasions before our trip), and super friendly! This cabin involves a gravel rd to drive to so don't worry about washing your ride before you vacay! We pulled up to the cabin and it's just as it looked in the pics. Loved the firepit outside with the chairs and pillows! We walked up to the porch and opened the door and I was excited! The decor, the cleanliness...Everything was "on point". Why in the world would anyone want to book a hotel when you can stay here?? I have a teen and a tween boy so unfortunately wifi is a must and it worked great after a full day of exploring and playing in the creek. There is no washer and dryer, but we were aware bc it is disclosed in the description so pack accordingly! There were enough towels, kitchen supplies to cook, paper towels, etc. My fiance' loves to fish and caught several small brim and smallmouth along the creek nearest the cabin (caught a good whopper smallmouth the last day). We visited the caverns at Blanchard Springs and Mirror Lake. (Highly recommend) All a very easy drive from the cabin. Wal Mart is an easy drive as well! The cabin is off the beaten path but not too far away that you feel you can't venture out if you forget an item or two. Roasted marshmallows to make Smores and cooked hot dogs over the pit, grilled hamburgers with the charcoal grill....Just had great family time. In a nutshell, book the cabin! Great getaway and very affordable and the rental company is great to work with! We are trying to decide when we can come back for another visit!

Great little cabin in the woods. Very quite and peaceful. About 4 1/2 miles from town or the cave in the other direction. Recommend JoJo's for lunch or dinner.
  16. 5/5
Minutes from town but feels like miles away! A charming and comfortable cabin. We enjoyed our stay so much!

My husband and I were looking for a charming cabin to mainly have some peace and quiet and a little R&R and we found it at this little studio. When I saw the photos of it I was immediately drawn to it and could see myself in it. I loved the way it was decorated and could see the attention to detail. Many cabins I have seen look very dated, dark, and lack the character the studio had. I felt very much at home there, so much so in fact, that I did not want to leave! We had been talking about a tiny house and decided that if we built one we would pattern it after this studio. Loved it! The decor and furniture arrangement looked a little different than in the pictures but still nice. I played around with the decor some by adding fresh fruit and flowers and rearranged a few small things. I made it my home while I was there. Got some great pics too! I look at them now with such fond memories. My husband wanted to do a little fly fishing which he did at the creek. Although he didn't catch any still had a great time relaxing at the creek listening to the sound of the water flowing under the bridge. The only reason we may not go back is the stairs being the only way to enter the cabin. As we are getting on up in age it was difficult to carry all our things up them. Once we were settled though, not so bad. Absolutely loved the deck! Had the feeling of being in a tree house and again saw the attention to detail that Virginia and Emily seem to be so good at. The lighting made it feel exotic at night.Beautiful! Some suggestions I will make is putting a queen size bed in if possible. The bed was small and we didn't feel like pulling the sofa out every night. The kitchen was well stocked and we appreciated the quality of the dishes and the cookware. However, I would suggest providing a better can opener. It was on the cool side while we were there so we really enjoyed the wood stove. Made it feel so cozy! I will always have fond memories of the place. Glad I found it!

We absolutely loved this little get away place !! It was more than we expected .
  19. 5/5
Unique cabin. Great location. Tasteful decorating. Wonderful owners. Relaxing setting.
  20. 4/5
What a treasure this place is, it's not your run of the mill fish camp cabin, the owners have invested themselves beautifully in this remarkable place!
  21. 5/5
Nicest little get away to feel secluded but a 10 minute drive to the city ! Loved the view, the trails, and all the help given to me from the owners. Would recommend bringing a 4x4 but it’s not needed !
  22. 5/5
This was the perfect location for a girls weekend. We had everything we needed and the Studio cabin definitely exceeding all expectations. Emily and Virginia are wonderful hosts and we felt right at home, so much so we didn't want to leave :) Thanks again and we'll be back soon!

If you are looking for relaxation, comfort, peace of mind and above all, an escape from everyday life - by ALL means, take advantage of this opportunity! The Studio has all that anyone would need and more. From day trips to Blanchard Springs to a Friday night dance with some of the nicest people we have ever met, we thoroughly enjoyed not only the amenities of this beautiful cabin, but the hospitality of Mountain View and its residents. I cannot say enough about the clear and continuous communication from the property managers as well as the attention to details, both outdoor and indoor, that made our stay perfect (not to mention that I took my French press for coffee each morning and the water is superb!) I almost hesitate to write such a glowing review - because we WILL return and will indubitably need to plan well in advance in order to secure our spot in this little slice of heaven. Thank you so very much!
  24. 5/5
We enjoyed our weekend at The Studio at Sylamore Creek. The cabin was first class with just enough amenities to help us have a relaxing time. Our kids loved the bunk beds, the decor was great and we could hang on the porch for hours. It’s great for a family w/ 3-4 kids. Only challenge was the pull out couch mattress was brutal for an adult. We love the place and will definitely be back.
  25. 5/5
Only thing we would change is to possibly squeeze in a king size bed. Would be perfect for a family with a couple of kids, big deck makes it easy to watch them and there is plenty to do and explore!!!
  26. 5/5
I love all the properties owned by Emily and Virginia. They are all stylish, clean, and comfortable. The kitchen is well stocked with typical items needed to prepare and serve meals. There are games, books, and other items to keep you busy. The swim hole is just a short stroll down the road - literally a couple of minutes. The deck was perfect to relax after a day of exploring.
  27. 5/5
We had a very nice relaxing weekend..
  28. 5/5
We had a great time here and absolutely loved the cabin! Great location and very relaxing!
  29. 5/5
My husband and I said we did not want to leave this place no less than 10 times while we were here! It was a perfect location to achieve peace and quiet after a school year(I teach 6th grade & my husband is a teacher and basketball coach). The feel of the cabin was so homey and the space was used so efficiently. We loved that we could hear the water rushing from the creek below and that we were surrounded by trees with very little traffic on the road(maybe four cars during our stay). The deep, covered porch was amazing, as well. We ate out there, we read out there, and we thoroughly enjoyed the Spring storms that popped up from the front porch. We have decided to make this a yearly trip! One recommendation would be to have a slightly larger bedside table. My husband and I are both in our 40s and both wear glasses. We also read so there was not enough room to place those things when it was time to sleep. I hope that doesn’t sound petty because that is the ONLY recommendation I can think of. Thank you for your hospitality and the use of your studio cabin.
  30. 5/5
Studio is more than spacious, great layout maximizes the entire room. Cabin is nestled in the woods, steps away from the swimming creek. Huge deck with plenty of outdoor seating for relaxing and eating. Great place!!
  31. 4/5
Exactly what I was looking for. A couple of days of the grid....well, with WiFi but no cell service. Perfect! Tom J.
  32. 5/5
We loved the Studio Cabin! Very clean and the decor was so pretty! We loved early mornings on the covered deck. We relaxed the day away in the creek which was only a 2 minute walk from the cabin. You know you have found a special place when the teenagers don't want to leave! Hope to go back again next summer!
  33. 5/5
Our family of 5 had a great time staying in the studio on the creek. The kids loved playing in the swimming hole and being close to other activities like go carts, ziplining, and an awesome cavern. The studio was perfect for our family and the big deck was a great extension to the living room. We plan to stay again!
  34. 5/5
This cabin is AMAZING! It is very hard to find a place where my son is comfortable. He is autistic and has a lot of sensory issues.(Loud noises, crowds, etc.) This place was perfect for my family. It’s hard to find that with 3 teenagers!! The swimming hole was a big hit!! We will definitely be back!! The Robinson’s
  35. 5/5
We loved our stay at the Studio Cabin at Sylamore Creek. It was decorated so pretty. It was clean and homey feeling. The deck gave us added space to enjoy being outside. We had five people in our party and made it just fine.
  36. 4/5
This cabin is in a perfect setting for rest and relaxation. The deer are all around in the mornings and late afternoons. The wraparound porch with ceiling fans was my favorite spot. The cabin and grounds were well stocked with everything needed and everything was clean and orderly.
  37. 5/5
Entire experience was excellent. Emily (Ivy Vacations) sends you a packet before your trip with all the local things to do and happenings the dates of your trip. This was fantastic in planning. The directions were simple to follow. Easy access code given for easy, no stress, check in. Walked in and place is very neat and clean. We had 2 adults and 2 kids ages 9 and 10. The bunk beds were a hit with the kids and the beds were so soft and comfortable that the kids got booted out of their beds! Shower was nice, clean and plenty of hot water. Plenty of towels, wash rags (even darker wash rags for make-up removal.) There's a place to hang your towels to. Great toilet paper! The kitchen was spacious with plenty of counter space. We didn't cook, but had plenty of room for our snacks, chips bread, etc. Full size fridge and freezer. Which was needed for fish we caught on the guided river trout tour. Microwave great, there is a coffee pot. Room is spacious and we had plenty of blankets and pillows. Everything felt clean and smelled nice. The floor was very clean, you could walk barefoot and no dirt! The TV is small but adequate. We were able to watch some family shows in the evening with no issues. Streaming was great. We bought a sound bar to hook up to the TV cause we couldn't hear it. The front porch is relaxing and the chairs are so comfortable. Nice table to do some crafts at. We painted some rocks and I had my oatmeal each morning out there. The sun rise is awesome. It rained one day we were there and you could still sit out there, which was nice. Great walk around porch. There is a short walk to the creek. To long to carry alot of stuff, but short enough to carry a couple of fishing poles. The creek was cold and we did a lot of wading. Kids practiced casting and I taught my daughter how to skip rocks. It was nice to be able to take a stroll down to the creek. IT was quiet while we were there and much appreciated privacy and no noise. Drive to and from town was easy.
  38. 5/5
Great little cabin! Very clean and well equipped. Very tastefully decorated! Loved the beautiful creek right down the road. We fished and got on our kayaks. Just a few minutes from downtown Mountain View and Blanchard Springs. So much to do in the area!
  39. 5/5
Of all the adventures we experienced while in the Mountain View area, my 4 year old said her favorite part was the bunk beds. This little studio was perfect for our family of 3. We saw a total of 6 deer, right in front of our "tree house" (as my daughter called it), a praying mantis, a stick bug and a couple of cool looking caterpillars on the porch. It was very clean and well equipped to make it feel like home while away. As far as the town, Word to the wise, I had previously found out that this is a dry county, however, the friendly grocery store attendant let us know that Anglers restaurant serves beer. Luckily, we stocked up before coming out. Some things to check out: don't underestimate the Ozark Folk Center. We spent 3 hours there and it was amazing. Everyone was so genuinely friendly and there's so much to learn in this one spot. Blanchard Springs Caverns was breathtaking. The waterfall was nice too, but be warned, the mosquitos on the path to it were plenty. Overall, this was a very memorable experience for our little family and I hope you can enjoy it as much as we did.
  40. 5/5
Very cozy and simple. The deck just makes it awesome-beautiful surroundings. Worth it!
  41. 5/5
Nice cozy cabin. Pet-friendly with a wood burning stove for cold nights. Near fishing, caverns, hiking, etc. It was great.
  42. 4/5
We made awesome memories at this cute cabin in the woods! Serene setting and comfortable accommodations!
  43. 5/5
My family and I just returned from two nights at the Studio on Sylamore Creek. We had a wonderful time and I can't say enough about the cabin, the area, and the communication from Dawnette and the rest of the team at Ivy Vacations. I had originally made a mistake in my booking, which they caught and quickly (and graciously!) corrected for me. Dawnette called and emailed the day of our trip with all of the necessary details for getting into the cabin and detailed directions so that we wouldn't get lost with GPS. The cabin itself is lovely and decorated with so much care. It was really adorable and had every amenity that we needed. I cooked for most meals, and we had absolutely everything we needed to prepare meals including cookware, utensils, and dishes. There was something for everyone at the cabin! My husband was thrilled with the fire pit and wood stove and spent many hours reading next to each. My son was thrilled with the wifi and comfy bunk bed nook. And our pug and I enjoyed several walks down to the creek, where we had the pleasure of watching three river otters frolicking and fishing for their breakfast. It was such a treat! The location of the cabin was great and very close to Mountain View and other fun destinations. On our second day we ventured over to Blanchard Springs, where my husband and son did some fishing. We also did some hiking over to the spring, which was really pretty. Again, I can't say enough about this lovely cabin. My family and I hope to go back in the summer so that we can enjoy swimming in the creek. Thanks for a wonderful end to 2018!
  44. 5/5
Very nice and quiet much needed get away. The location was secluded and nice as well as the studio.
  45. 5/5
I needed to get my husband away from work and a week long lung infection (not contagious). The loft proved to be the ideal location. We have been coming to Mt View for a while because we both relax better in the woods on a creek or river and the Sylamore is our favorite!!! The loft was perfect for the two of us but it would also be perfect for 4 people or a small family. I know as a kid I would have loved sleeping in the bunk nooks. Everything we needed except food and clothes was there. I would and will recommend this sweet little cabin to everyone!
  46. 5/5
This studio at Sylamore Creek was the perfect getaway for our family of 4 + dog after a long Minnesota winter. The cabin is wonderfully appointed and in a great location near Mountain View and the Blanchard Springs Caverns. We found we could easily spend a week here with all of the wonderful hiking and mountain biking trails and neat towns in the area. We also loved just hanging out on the porch and enjoying the sunshine, taking a dip in the swimming hole and playing games and roasting marsh mellows in the fire pit. Our teenage daughters loved the sleeping nooks, and the kitchen had pretty much everything we needed. We would love to come back!
  47. 5/5
Wonderful cabin! Cozy, comfortable, relaxing. Fantastic get a way.
  48. 5/5
The Studio at Sylamore Creek is amazing! It's easily the most comfortable and well appointed cabin I've stayed in during plenty of trips to the Ozarks. One of my perpetual disappointments when I book a cabin are the terrible beds in most places, but the Studio had incredibly comfortable beds and mattresses. The deck is huge with great seating and a view of Sylamore. The creek, with a public access area, is just a short walk down the road. The cabin was super clean, and the customer service was effortless. Definitely an A+ recommendation!
  49. 5/5
This cabin was absolutely beautiful and had everything we needed to be in nature but not exactly rough it. Even with the rainy nights, the covered deck was perfect to sit on without getting wet. We took advantage of the fire pit when it was nice and the dogs loved the creek just a minute walk down the road. The kitchen was stocked with all of the utensils we needed to grill out. We used the wifi but had zero cell service which was perfect for us! There was a binder of things to do in the area which we checked out and were all within 20 minutes of the cabin - caverns, horseback riding, hiking, canoeing and grabbing ice cream in town. We wish we could have stayed longer!
  50. 5/5
My family and I had the best time in Mountain View, AR! The people in town were very friendly and there is so many things to do in the area. Our main reason for staying in the cabin near Mountain View was to visit Blanchard Caverns and the state park. The location was perfect and convenient and the caverns are a must see if you’re visiting the area. Breathtaking views and peaceful surroundings. Also, we ran into a bit of car trouble the first day there, and the people at ASAP auto repair in Mountain View were able to fix it quickly without costing a fortune! So we were able to get back to our vacation within 12 hours of noticing we were in need of a mechanic. The people at Ivy Vacations were also willing to help us during that time, as well. The studio cabin was perfect for our family of 4. Very nicely furnished, clean and well-maintained. We didn’t want to come home! We will definitely come back for another vacation in the next few years! Thanks Ivy Vacations!

I grew up in Central Arkansas and spent many long weekends and summer weeks of my childhood making great memories in the area. Now that I've moved out of state, I really wanted to create similar memories with my kids. The cabin and surrounding area was the perfect location to introduce them to the magic of the Ozarks. The cabin was quaint and had everything we could need, even kid friendly games to entertain my little ones. The Ozark Folk Center and Blanchard Springs Rec area were a quick 15 minute drive away, and made for great side adventures during our stay. My 5 and 2.5 year old loved exploring Sylamore Creek and looking for "creatures" - crawdads, tadpoles, fish, even a few small turtles! Overall, a perfect week, away from the hustle and bustle of our regular lives. We'll be back!
  52. 5/5
Amazing spot. I loved sleeping in the bottom bunk bed. I chose this spot over the soft comfy main bed.
  53. 5/5
Very clean Very nice absolutely beautiful with a gorgeous view of the river
  54. 4/5
The only downfall was the little centipedes all over the floor
  55. 5/5
We really enjoyed our stay here at the cabin. We had everything we needed including the comforts of home. We look forward to seeing you again soon! Regards, Lila Diehl P.S. we will probably be leaving about 10am
