Nestled in a valley along Sylamore Creek, the Meadow Cabin is the perfect place to experience the splendor of the Ozarks. Perfect for groups up to 9, the Cabin has everything you'll need for a memorable getaway. The cozy open living area and adjoining sunroom offer stunning views across the meadow. Grab a book from the bookshelf and snuggle by the cozy gas fireplace that ignites with the touch of a button. The kitchen is fully equipped for cooking meals and the farmhouse table is perfect for family gathering. Just off the kitchen is a large bathroom as well as an easily accessible bedroom, which is separated by a barn door- perfect for anyone in the group needing downstairs accommodations. Tucked in a cozy nook at the top of the stairs is a twin daybed. Also upstairs you'll find two large bedrooms with queen beds and access to separate balconies. Also upstairs is a shared half bath. Enjoy coffee on the side porch before heading out for the day's adventures in the area. You'll be a short drive to the charming shops and folk music at Court Square and world class hiking trails in the National Forest . Or maybe you'll spend the day exploring Blanchard Springs Caverns and nearby Mirror Lake. For an adventure just outside your door, take a short stroll across the meadow to clear and sparkling Sylamore Creek where you'll find cold clear water- perfect for wading and splashing. Or, try out your fishing skills as smallmouth bass can be caught year-round. After your day of exploring, build a cozy fire and roast marshmallows in the outdoor firepit with the provided firewood. The valley offers unsurpassed stargazing on clear nights. Bring your book, your hiking boots or your fishing gear and let the adventures and relaxation begin.
~The last half mile to the Cabin is a steep, gravel road. Sedans can make it fine, motorcycles cannot. If it snows while you're here, be prepared to stay a while. ONLY use our directions arriving to the property. GPS will lead you astray.
~We manage two other vacation rentals in the meadow. The Cottage sleeps 4, Cabinette sleeps 2. See photos for proximity. If you're interested in blocking use of the Cabinette for additional privacy we can offer a discounted rate for that property.
~The adjoining property is privately owned and posted signs should be observed.
~ Cell signals are unreliable depending on carrier and location at the Cottage. The cabin does have high speed Wifi. Wifi calling and texting are available on newer model smart phones.
~There is no cable TV. The television is equipped with ROKU, and you will have access to our Netflix, Pandora, and Amazon accounts.
~There is a dishwasher and stackable washer/dryer.
~The Cabin is pet-friendly. There is always a fee for bringing pets, and house rules apply. Charges will apply for excessive pet hair (please do not allow dogs on furniture unless you cover with a sheet you provide) and/or damages.
~Located 100 yards from Sylamore Creek, 15 minutes to town, 25 minutes to Blanchard/Nat'l Forest hiking trails, 25 minutes to White River, 25 minutes to Ozark Folk Center, and 40 minutes to Gravity BrewWorks.
~Amenities- We provide all linens and towels, including "creek towels", drip coffee maker (filters provided), gas grill, starter kit of laundry detergent, toilet paper, soap, shower gel, dish soap, paper towels, and garbage bags.

While it took some effort to get to it, which should be expected for a mountain cabin, once we got there it was easily worth it. Great creek out back. Beautiful covered patio. It was below freezing outside, but plenty of warmth inside. The horse back riding and caverns in the area were a great time for the family. Then in the evening we did camp fire pies and snores around the fire out back. We're already planning our next visit.
One of the best trips we've had in a long time. Lodging was super clean and comfortable. We bought inter tubes and floated the creek over and over again.... It was cold but totally worth the pain!
Our family of 4 just spent four nights at the cabin, and we had the best time! It was so peaceful out in the meadow, and it was just a quick trot down to the creek. We spent a couple of days fishing and swimming in the creek, and just hanging out on the banks, it was so private and perfect for time. You couldn't ask for a better location! We drove 30 minutes to Blanchard Springs Caverns, which was a great time, and we went downtown to Mtn View one day, as well. Charlynn's Soda Fountain was amazing!! Old fasioned soda fountain style ice cream, and amazing service! Such a charming place! The cabin had everything we needed, and felt like home. We grilled out and ate supper on the porch several nights, it was just perfect. Thank you!
We arrived at the cabin, using the owners direction, with no problem. The accommodations were very clean, well appointed and extremely comfortable. Nestled in a natural area adjacent to the crystal clear creek, it was quiet and peaceful. Just perfect for us! We spent the day outside ( wading fishing bird watching and walking) and in the evenings had so much fun preparing dinner and watching movies together. You can't beat this anywhere in the area.
Wonder place. Enjoyed the stay
We had a great time and loved the scenery. The creek was perfect and so pretty. We loved the big open field for our pup, Po. The road to the cabin is rough but we have a Jeep so it wasn't that bad. Would stay again!
We just got home for Mt View yesterday. Stayed for Wensday to Sunday. Really enjoyed visiting the Caves at Blanchard Carverns. Had some family time on Friday and enjoyed staying around the cabin. Saturday we explored the country side found a nice swimming hole. You have to ask around about it I'm going to keep this to myself. Then went back to the cabin played in the creek and enjoyed sometime with friends. If you ever get the chance. Go you will enjoy everything about the cabin and the host. Regards Jay
We loved everything about our getaway! The cabin was amazing, the location was perfection, the creek was pristine, and the views were to breathtaking. We brought all our food so we didn’t have to leave all weekend. We lounged in the creek all afternoon Friday, literally all day Saturday, and spent our nights around the fire singing and talking. It was the best weekend we have all had in awhile. It was great to disconnect and just be. Thank you for being super accessible when needed and providing an amazing weekend. We are already planing our next trip!
We stayed at the Meadow Cabin over New Years weekend and everything was just excellent. The two owners are super friendly and accommodated us well. The cabin is exactly how you see on the pictures. Beautiful, cozy and clean. We will definitely come back again when its warmer!
Will definitely be coming back, had an amazing time in Nature and didn’t want to leave
We absolutely loved the cabin. It was a perfect place for our four girls to enjoy the outdoors and some family time. We will be back again soon!
We’ve stayed in several places in Mt. View in the past. This is by far the best! Although we had a scary accident, the staff worked quickly to organize support like I’ve never seen. The property is beautiful and perfect for a large family like ours. We will recommend this property as well as Ivy Vacations. Keep up the good work! If we can’t book here, we won’t stay anywhere else in Mt. View.
We had a family vacation here. The cabin had everything you could need, games for the kids, plenty of room for everyone and a gorgeous setting. We planned option do other activities while in Mountain View but aside from just visiting Blanchard Springs and enjoying the trail their we ended up staying at the cabin and the kids never complained about it. We brought kayaks and the kids fished and caught some gorgeous sunfish and smallmouth bass with worms. We will definitely try to make it back again. Loved it! One warning, zero cell service on phones using Boost mobile and Virgin which I think is on the ATT. Not an issue except if you need to communicate with someone you are meeting. Everyone needs to print the directions to the cabin. Wifi in the cabin was excellent.
The meadow, the creek, the cabin all combined to make our Bookclub Retreat a success. We hiked the Sylamore Trail and loved it. Will be back again for sure!
I love this cabin, the setting, and Sylamore creek! This was my second stay and it was so enjoyable. The cabin is well stocked, love the décor, a perfect place to enjoy family. My grandkids were with me this time and they loved being in the water. We made smores by the firepit, firewood included!, stargazing is awesome, and all accommodations were excellent. Emily and Virginia are accommodating and great commutators too! I look forward to coming back a third time!
We had an absolutely exquisite time in the Meadow Cabin at the Creek! The accommodations couldn't have been better and the setting is fantastic. I can't recommend this cabin and its environs highly enough.
My mom, niece and myself had a great time at the cabin. We went to town one day and went to some of the shops on Main Street but spent most of our time relaxing at the cabin and down at the creek. It was so quiet and peaceful. My niece loved playing in the creek. Look forward to coming back again!
We had an awesome time at the Cabin! It was very clean! The creek swimming was awesome!
An amazing place to just disconnect and enjoy serenity...We did not want to leave. The stream was beautiful and refreshing as well...We will be back!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the cabin. Everything was just as advertised. Enjoyed the creek behind the cabin, starlight nights and a beautiful rustic cabin. I would totally recommend this cabin to anyone looking for a family getaway or even a romantic getaway.
I stayed at this cabin with my husband and 13 month old. The cabin and property were beautiful. We loved the proximity to the creek, and the view. The owners were very dog friendly, so we appreciated the ability to bring our pets. We would definitely stay again!
All of our expectations were exceeded at the Meadow Cabin at the Creek! The decor was precious and there were several nice home away from home touches. Lots of great outdoor seating areas, both for groups and couples/individuals. It was super comfortable and a great place to spend family time or curl up with a book.
My family & I had an amazing time at this cabin in Mountain View. We had the best experience. The property manager was so kind & helpful & prompt with any questions I had. The cabin was super clean, comfortable, cozy, well stocked & just as enjoyable as it could be. The views from the 2nd floor bedroom balconies were so beautiful & peaceful. We made a bonfire in the fire pit, & loved sitting around it roasting hotdogs & being able to see ALL the stars - something we don’t get to enjoy in the city. Thank you for such a wonderful experience. We can’t wait to go back.
While I've stayed here many times, it was a first for family visiting from Cyprus and the meadow valley cabins were just as magical as usual! I can't say enough good things! We had everything we needed and more - plenty of firewood, kitchenware, blankets and even a good morning visit from a bunch of deer :) Thank you guys for all you do.
We loved our time at Meadow cabin. So peaceful. All kinds of room to let the kids and the dog play. Very nice private spot on Sylamore Creek as well
We had a beautiful weekend at what my 4 year old calls "the rock beach." The cabin had everything we could ask for! Even wifi. Very relaxing, quiet, just perfect.
