A true Ozark getaway in a tiny package. This little 200 square ft Cabinette is situated in a beautiful valley along Sylamore Creek. Perfect for 1 or 2 people, you'll find a cozy space that offers a comfortable queen bed, a stand-up shower, toilet, and a cute little kitchenette with all the essentials, including mini fridge, hot plate, microwave, drip coffee maker, cookware, and dishes. The covered deck faces only nature and is a great place for viewing the abundant wildlife. Deer, bald eagles, turkey, and birds are commonly spotted. The outdoor table is a perfect place to enjoy a burger cooked on the propane grill while admiring the views. When you're ready to explore all that Mountain View has to offer, you'll be a short drive to the charming shops and folk music at Court Square and world class hiking trails in the National Forest . Or maybe you'll spend the day exploring Blanchard Springs Caverns and nearby Mirror Lake. For adventures just outside your door, take a short stroll across the meadow to clear and sparkling Sylamore Creek where you'll find cold clear water- perfect for wading and splashing. Or, try out your fishing skills as smallmouth bass can be caught year-round. After your day of exploring, build a cozy fire and roast marshmallows in the outdoor firepit with the provided firewood. On clear nights in the meadow the stargazing is unsurpassed. Bring your book, your hiking boots or your fishing gear and let the adventures and relaxation begin.

~The last half mile to the Cabinette is a steep, gravel road. Sedans can make it fine, motorcycles cannot. If it snows while you're here, be prepared to stay a while. ONLY use our directions arriving to the property. GPS will lead you astray.
~We manage two other vacation rentals in the meadow. The larger Cabin sleeps 9, Cottage sleeps 4. See photos for proximity.
~The adjoining property is privately owned and posted signs should be observed.

~ Cell signals are unreliable depending on carrier and location at the Cabinette. The cabin does have high speed Wifi. Wifi calling and texting are available on newer model smart phones.
~There is no cable TV. The television is equipped with ROKU, and you will have access to our Netflix, Pandora, and Amazon accounts.
~There is no dishwasher or washer/dryer.
~The Cabinette is pet-friendly. There is always a fee for bringing pets, and house rules apply. Charges will apply for excessive pet hair (please do not allow dogs on furniture unless you cover with a sheet you provide) and/or damages.

We had a great time staying at the Cabinette. The room was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. The location was also really nice. We were secluded and surrounded by nature but also close to Mountain View. I would definitely stay here again!

We had a great time at the Cabinette at the Creek. I would recommend this mini cabin to couples for an awesome, romantic getaway. We found the surroundings to be extremely peaceful.

We were looking for a quiet space in the mountains, and this cabin-ette provided just that and more. The accommodations were exactly as pictured and described; but seeing the space in person went beyond our expectations. A short walk through a well cared for meadow gets you to a true dreamland on the creek. The fire pit at night under the stars is magic. And that porch was the perfect spot for mountain gazing. We will definitely be back -- maybe with the kids in the larger cabin! Thank you, Virginia and Emily.

We stayed two nights with our two smaller dogs and had a great experience. Very easy drive to town, much to see and do all around. Would certainly recommend staying, especially as there aren't many dog-friendly options around! Cabinette has everything you need, very comfortable and well appointed.

We loved our weekend getaway visit in the cabinette. We were literally at the end of the road. Loved the seclusion and especially the creek. It was so relaxing to end the day sitting on the porch, watching fireflies and catching a glimpse of deer in the meadow. As secluded as the cabinette was, it was still close enough to be able to get out and sight see and do a little antique shopping. I scored a McCoy planter!!! We visited Mountain View and listened to the locals play music, the Ozark Folk Center and Blanchard Springs Caverns and even had time to play in the creek all in two days. My husband and I highly recommend staying here.

We stayed in the cabinette. It was perfect!! Cooked outside on grill. Took chairs down to the creek ams relaxed. We'd definitely book again.

The cabinette was stylishly decorated and the setting could not be more beautiful. Although the larger cabin is next door, a wooden "screen" provides ample privacy. The creek is a short walk away, and the area is large enough to enjoy peacefully even when other guests are present (which happened only once during our stay). One of my favorite things, however, was something very small that made a huge impact: The white lights strung across the porch give the cabin a festive "getaway" feeling that we enjoyed so much. There are no mosquitos (seriously), so the porch with those fun lights was our favorite place to relax! Arriving to the cabinette with those lights glowing and folk music playing inside was the perfect beginning to our stay. It was a lovely experience!

I had an excellent time! Communication was easy. Cabinette was exactly as described. There is a privacy partition in between the cabinette and the other cabin. There were children at the other cabin and either they were very quiet or we just didn't hear them! Ceiling is vaulted so it didn't feel too tight even though it is a studio. Shower got hot and a/c unit blew cold. The creek isn't too far so you can easily run back if you forget something. It's a small space but it was perfect for us. Oh and the bed is super comfy!

We drove from a city up north, 10 hours away, and we're looking for a peaceful, relaxing trip with some adventure. That is exactly what we got. The owners are also very friendly and accommodating.

My husband and I spent our Anniversary at the Cabinette on the creek this past weekend. We had a wonderful time. I was just big enough for 2, cute, and quaint! We did a little fishing, cooked all of our meals on the charcoal grill, and just sat around enjoying the scenery. The only recommendation I would make is adding a can opener to the kitchen utensils. Thank you for all of your suggestions and help this weekend! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

The cabinette was exactly what I was looking for - a quiet, secluded, but safe place to recharge. I loved bringing my doggie and he loved it too. Great place to read and write.

Thanks for the opportunity to stay at the Cabinette. We loved the view and enjoyed the quiet nights. We are already planning another trip and hoping to bring others with us.

We came to the Cabinette on the last leg of our vacation. After camping for 4 days, it was nice to have heat and a shower! The property itself is peaceful and beautiful, and the stream out back was a joy. We enjoyed the local eats and cavern tours. We found the property with ease following the directions given to us, though we were a bit unprepared for the steepness of the driveway!

Would love to return and share this experience with others!

What a wonderful getaway! Close to the comforts of a small town, but so secluded! The Cabinette is the perfect dwelling for a solo traveler like myself, or a couple. I spent most of my time in the area exploring and hiking but thoroughly enjoyed retreating to the property. A beautiful meadow sprawls out from of the Cabinette, leading to a crystal clear creek. The home itself is basic luxury at it's best. Awesome bed. Comfy towels. Decent WiFi for being so removed. Magnificent views of the stars at night from the porch. Would recommend this place to anyone who needs to get away from it all.

I had some time in my busy schedule and I jumped at the chance to stay at the Cabinette. It was exactly what I needed. I spent the days in the creek and the nights on the porch with the stars and the lightening bugs. This was the perfect retreat. My friends are coming up in a couple of weeks and I know they will enjoy it as much as I did.

Cabinette is so cute. Love the front porch and the creek was fun for my dog. Appreciate the fresh cut grass pathways. I think you should make sure people know how rough the road is back to the cabins; if you have a low riding car it would be a disaster. Everything was sparkling clean and it was well supplied.

This place was perfect for a get away from it all rest.

The Cabinette is so comfortable and cozy, and stocked with all the necessities. The gas grill worked like a charm and the covered porch has the most amazing view of the surrounding hills. The creek is a very short walk across a small meadow and the creek access is amazing. You can walk right now to a small "beach" and fish from there. There are also several picnic tables and charcoal grills located right next to the creek. More than the cabin and surroundings being beautiful, the ladies of Ivy Vacations were just lovely. On my second day I texted to request an extra blanket. Within ten minutes Virginia had texted multiple times to make sure the heat was working properly and to arrange for the extra bedding. A few minutes later the owner of the cabin called me personally to make certain I was being taken care of. I drove to their location in downtown Mountain View and Theresa met me with two extra blankets and made sure I had everything else I needed. Honestly, even if the cabin hadn't been amazing I'd rent from them again just because of how wonderful they were.

For the price, the value was excellent. Restful. Quite. A place to just slow down and refresh. Although did not GO there to watch TV or movies, WIFI reception was poor. But not a show stopper. Would certainly go back. And already thinking about when? Recommend for the value the Cabinette at the creek. A great place to bunker down for two people.

Wonderful accommodation! The room is perfect for a couple and the bed was really comfortable. The surrounding countryside is beautiful!

It's a great location for being close to the music scene in town. It was clean and comfortable. The only problem I had was, the plug for a blow dryer was not close enough to the mirror. Luckily I had an extension cord in the SUV. We will definitely be back to enjoy the creek in the summer.

    Perfect for a weekend getaway.

My husband and I just returned from a 2 night stay. We were very impressed with the whole experience. Our cabinette was very clean and beautifully decorated. We had every thing we needed plus plenty of firewood for a fire at night. We will be back.
  26. 5/5
We LOVED our stay! The views were gorgeous, the cabin was peaceful and clean. The creek was as amazing as I had hoped for for fishing and skipping rocks! I would go back in a heartbeat!

You get a five star only comment is that it would be nice to have a mirror above the sink to shave with .....I shave daily but I realize many men do not :)

The cabinette was beautiful, and the property management was prompt and friendly in their communication.

This tiny cabin is perfect for 2. And it’s right on the creek!

Lovely, clean one room cabin on a beautiful meadow. Cool, clear creek across the meadow perfect for splashing. Cabin perfect for two and a dog or two.
