So this place is WAY too nice to be described as a cottage. It is decorated straight out of a Pottery Barn or similiar cabin. The location is GORGEOUS. Completely secluded on a big field right by the creek. My kids and dogs could run and play, we could hang out by the fire, or cook and eat inside the cottage. The bed was VERY comfortable, and my kids had no complaints over the sleeper sofa. Plenty of options for recorded TV - Netflix, etc... We brought a chromecast so we could watch live sports. I would stay here again in a heartbeat and pay double the price. It's a great deal, and Mountain View is a charming town with SO much to do. Hiking, go carts, rope course, shopping, restaurants, etc...

This cottage was beautiful. From the moment we walked in you felt the warmth and love that they put into the cottage and your stay. We were welcomed by folk music playing on the television and the entire cottage was impeccable. The Velveteen Rabbit decorations were lovely. Our absolute favorite was sitting on the front deck listening to the rain. It rained most of our stay, unfortunately, but it felt so cozy and relaxing. We were right next to the creek but still secluded. Definitely highly recommend if you are looking to get away and just relax. We are definitely going back! Thanks again Virginia. We had an amazing time!

The cabin was equipped with all the necessities and everything was perfect! The new covered deck was perfect to sit and watch the deer play early in the morning.

My family and I just stayed there June 15, 2017 - June 18, 2017 and we had the most amazing time ever. We mainly stayed at the creek which has a perfect blue hole to swim and fish in. It was so peaceful and relaxing and I would highly recommend this vacation spot to anyone. The only issue we ran into which is nothing anyone can do about it. We saw 6 venomous snakes in the creek, we killed three; however, they are everywhere and they are not at all scared of people at all. My family and I will absolutely be returning to the Cottage on the Creek.

The cottage was cozy and had great access to the creek! Our boys loved swimming and trying to catch the fish. The only negative was the sheets to the pullout couch had been folded and put away damp. Maybe the housekeeper was behind schedule but it made for a late first night. We would highly recommend staying there and will definitely be booking with ivy vacations again!

We had a wonderful time in the Cottage. All of the creature comforts needed, and the stream was gorgeous. The location was very isolated, down a long lane, into a valley. We literally felt like we were in a temperate rain forest. The cabin was just the right size for our two adults and three small children. Our dog was very happy. When it did rain, it gave us a break from the sun and listening to the rain on the tin roof was relaxing. The fridge, washer/dryer, bathroom, air conditioning, and TV/wifi, all worked well. We unplugged mostly, but listened to music, and on hot afternoons our kids took a break to watch cartoons. Blanchard springs and caverns is a must, and the Ozark Folk Center was great for us and the kids too. We had a wonderful time.

Place was as it is like they have showed in pictures sorrounded with beautiful Mountains, greenery and creek. It was very clean and we did not have any issues to reach to the destination. They also provided a file with a list of places and activities near by to visit and that really helped us as I just booked the place and was planning on finding places to go around once I reached the vacation home. We really enjoyed it and glad we chose them.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, the cottage was perfect. Even the sleeper sofa was good! It was tastefully appointed, close enough to town and the river, far enough out to see amazing stars, even the Milky Way! We'll be back for sure 😊

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Cottage at the Creek. The location is beautiful and offers great views from the porch. The meadow is well kept and the pristine creek is just a few yards from the house. The cottage had all of the comforts of home and was very clean and well decorated. The creek is beautiful and our dogs loved splashing around! We did a little fishing and caught several bass. We really enjoyed the relaxing weekend in this lovely cottage!

Cottage - At The Creek exceeded my expectations in every way. The views and solitude were second to none. The cottage was immaculate and came with all the basic items needed to cook your own meals. We took advantage of the grill and used it twice during our stay. At night it was incredibly relaxing to sit out by the fire pit and star gaze. Living in the city, I forget how beautiful the night sky can be. My husband and I will definitely be back!

The cottage and creek are beautiful. My girls, ages 5 and 3, loved exploring the property. I enjoyed feeling secluded but trips to town and Blanchard / Ozark National Fores were easy. I would definitely recommend staying at the cottage.

Enjoyed our stay very much. Beautiful setting. Accommodations in the cabin were excellent. A perfect get-away for myself an my 3 children. I have one significant suggestion however: The pull-out bed mattress is un-sleepable. I put the children on the cushions and pillows instead. If advertising a cabin as "sleeps 4", the mattresses need to be bearable. Also, not a big deal for us, but may be for others...there was an infestation of ladybugs. There were several dozen that hovered around the lights. We left a light on all night to keep them away from us.

We loved our stay here at this cottage and would definitely come back! Our dogs loved being out in nature and enjoyed hopping into the creek for a few dips. It's so cozy, warm, and inviting inside. After being treated so wonderfully by Emily and Virginia, I'm recommending Ivy Vacations to my friends and family!

We enjoyed our stay at the cottage, a perfect jumping off point for day hikes in the Ozarks. The cottage met all of our needs, the nearby creek was beautiful, and Emily and Virginia were fantastic hosts. Would definitely stay here again.

The Cottage was everything they promoted. Loved the rustic decor, bed was comfy, towels plush and place was clean. They had wood ready and my husband and I enjoyed a late night fire just enjoying the location. Emily was very accommodating and quuckly replied to any question. We will plan another trip their soon.

My husband and I could not have been more pleased with our stay at the Cottage at the Creek! As well as the service provided by Emily at Ivy Vacations and the owner Virginia. I had even mixed up our dates (YIKES) and they made the adjustments for us, no problem!! Communication was excellent and we loved the news letter from Joy! The pictures do not do the cottage justice. Its design and decor are so well thought out and tasteful, while still maintaining the rustic charm of the area. While we were there we took in Blanchard Caverns (a MUST see), the Springs at Blanchard,(lovely hiking trails), Enjoyed the Dulcimer Jamboree at the Ozark Folk Center, as well as the Craft section there. Hired a fishing guide from Anglers and caught 23 Trout in under 3 hours!!! Enjoyed a show of "Whoa Mule" at Mellon's Country Store, and had a blast at "Picken Park" and the band at the Square. And made the short drive to Gravity Brew Works (we are home brewers, so had to do that!) My husband and I agreed this was the most relaxing vacation we have been on in years, and much of that was due to where we were staying. The serenity and beauty of the surroundings at the Cottage cannot be beat. So lovely and hanging out in the creek in our lawn chairs (the water was not too cold believe it or not) watching our little dog splash around chasing minnows was delightful. I could go on and on but again words cannot describe this place! We will be back! Shellie & Brian Foster

My wife & I wanted to have a nice, quiet & relaxing escape from reality for a week & thought this would be a great choice since it's only about 3 hours from our home. We brought our two dogs and just really enjoyed this Cottage. It was very relaxing, we enjoyed the creek & the Cottage was very clean & cozy. We enjoyed going into Main Street for a nice walk around town, the Cavern, & area surrounding it. We would definitely recommend this Cottage to anyone looking for a relaxing vacation.

Our stay here couldn't have been any better! The cottage was more than I expected, it had everything we needed including a stress-free week! After a 9 hour drive there, the creek was the perfect place to kick off our shoes, listen to the sounds of nature and relax for the afternoon. Whether walking the Courthouse Square, touring Blanchard Caverns or hiking to the Indian rock cave the cottage was a very inviting place to come home to. Our 2 teenage boys enjoyed the stay as much as we did. I can't wait until my next vacation, this cottage is where I plan to be.

Heaven on Earth are the exact words to describe this place. Honestly, there are no words to describe the beautify that surrounds this cabin. I got the opportunity to come here and spend some time alone. I not only felt safe but found peace taking time by myself and reflect upon my life. The creek is beautiful and the fog rising up off the mountains is breath taking. The inside of the cabin is also fabulous; From the reclaimed wood on the ceiling, reclaimed doors and the decor. I wonder what history the reclaimed wood and doors holds from the past? The staff left towels for the creek in a basket by the door and sheets to put on the furniture if you bring your dog. With the craziness of trying to get away I didn't think of those things. But, they thought of them for me. Location is perfect!! Not too far from Mountain View if you want to explore the town or need supplies. The creek is just 75ish yards away. Honestly, there isn't anything negative that I could say about this place. The staff was prompt to give directions and answer any questions that I had. I will definitely be coming back!

The Cottage at the Creek was everything we imagined. The cottage was perfect for the two of us and our dog. She loved the open meadow between the cottage and the creek. We brought our kites as the open meadow is perfect for it. We didn't get a chance to fly them bc we spent the day at Blanchard Springs walking the trails. Blanchard Springs is a must! We can't wait to come back in the warmer months and really enjoy the cool waters of the creek. I love that there are picnic tables and a bbq pit down at the waters edge. We will be back!

Wow!!! I have to say that this place is great! The cabin is absolutely amazing! The peace and quiet of NO automobiles, people and the sounds of the city is great! All we heard was the birds, the creek running and turkeys! I can’t speak enough about how beautiful this place is. Most people don’t understand what it’s like to hear nothing but what God has given us! That’s what makes this place great! Will be back with entire family to rent all 3 cabins.

Pros: -friendly reception and quick contact with the owners -peaceful and secluded scenery (a creek on the property-you can wade in it and look at rocks) -abundant wildlife (plenty of different birds, saw a bobcat (very very briefly-it took off as soon as it was seen), a beaver -working fridge, availability to bbq/start a fire (we didn't end up using it) -a little welcome basket Possible drawbacks: -the bed/couch weren't super comfortable -there was lawnmowing activity on almost a full day of our trip (perhaps letting vacationers know when this will happen so they can plan accordingly might be of benefit for some)--this ended up being less of a peaceful day outside.

We come back to the North Central Arkansas area every year for Memorial weekend to visit family and decorate cemeteries. We have stayed in numerous cabins over the years, and the Cottage was among our very favorites! It was cute, secluded, clean, and the owners had thought of everything. The location makes getting to Mountain View and Leslie easy while at the same time being in a quiet peaceful place. The creek access was fantastic and the swimming and fishing was great for our family. We had a great weekend, and look forward to coming back!

Wife, myself and mini Schnauzer spent 3 days at the Cottage. Very clean, well stocked and though there's rocky gravel for quite a while to get there, it's well maintained. A few things to note, more for the owners but something those looking for seclusion and quiet need to know. The cottage sits on beautiful acreage with 2 other cabins next door. You will see and have neighbors out and about around you. The covered porch was a great addition but the door sill is very high above the deck. We both almost tripped going to and from the porch in and out of the cottage. The Window unit was annoying on the wall of the porch, it drowns out the peace and quiet with the constant noise of it operating. The fire pit and plastic chairs are on un level ground, the chairs really need to go, awful. A wood deliverer kindly brought us a couple chairs from next door which are MUCH better and helped a lot. Lastly, the gravel/dirt "trench" to acess the creek from the cottage is dangerous at best unless you're a young athletic climbing type. There's a couple better areas to ascend to the creek but they're kind of designed in line for the other cabins and not the cottage. We also started down our trench on the last day and almost stepped on top of a copperhead snake that struck at the dog but missed. I've never heard my wife scream SNAKE so many times in a row, lol.. I did manage to get it on film and needless to day, it ended our creek exploring but thankfully it was the last day. Overall a great place, but we prefer more seclusion and ideally a hot tub for real relaxation, not a fault of the cottage, we knew booking it didnt have one. If you're more the exploring type, this creek is beautiful just be aware of private property boundaries around you. Management is quick to reply to anything you're in need of, Emily was great.

Our family rented the Cabin, Cottage and Cabinette. Out of all 3 of these, the cottage was my favorite. It was a bit more secluded given it sits off by itself and is tucked under the tree canopy. The kitchen was well equipped, the beds were comfortable and the kitchen/bar area was the perfect space for us. I especially enjoyed that the entire front of the cottage is covered with windows so you could see the meadow view from every location in the cottage. We enjoyed having access to the full property to offer complete privacy for our family getaway, however the creek was the highlight of our trip. If we were not fishing the White River or Mirror Lake, we were in the creek! The entire family enjoyed wading, fishing and just watching the creek float by. The family was already talking about a return trip before we departed! The team at Ivy Vacations is remarkable and I would recommend their properties exclusively when traveling to the Mountain View area. I wish I was at the Cottage or in the creek right now!!

My family and I really needed a place to "get away" and reconnect but we still wanted access to things like wifi and cell reception just in case something went wrong. The cottage was our happy medium and it didn't disappoint. We loved the proximity of the creek to the cottage so we could walk and play. Everything was clean and they provided just enough dishes and whatnot for us to be able to function properly. It's also a short drive to town, 15-20 minutes depending on where you are trying to go. Overall we enjoyed ourselves and would love to stay again one day!

Getting out of the driveway was horrible. To get in and to get out , then the guy comes and cuts the grass instead of cutting it before we had arrived and bad reception to use your cell phone plus it was cleaner when we lefted then when we arrived a the cottage
