INTERACTION WITH GUESTS
From our own personal experience and from the Mountain View Chamber of Commerce, this is the quote that drives our business:
"The first time, you visit. The second time, you move here."
— says everyone who visits Mountain View
Hospitality comes naturally to all of us and we've turned it into our profession. We are oozing with pride for the talent and natural beauty our area offers. And the water: "oh oh the water, get it myself from the mountain stream."
We thrive helping you truly connect to our area. Upon booking confirmation you will receive a penned-by-us "Locals' Guide." We offer a full range of concierge services from wedding planning to stocking your fridge with local ready-to-eat meals, junk food and award winning crafted suds. We have close connections with the best local guides for overnight canoe trips, spelunking, hunting and even horseback riding for those with disabilities. It might be one of us. Real estate market tours are also a popular request.
minimum age to rent = 25 years old. Must present ID upon arrival
***The Address will not GPS so we do not reveal it. Many people think they can get to the lodge with the address and they are sorely mistaken. The hostess will greet and lead in the guests at arrival. For your planning purposes - if you need to know where this property is located - look up Mellon's Country Store in Mountain View, AR on a satellite image. We're about 5 minutes East from there - in an off-the-map location. And behind an electronic gate. (Trying to go see it for yourself in a car will be futile)
Turn by Turn directions for other members of your group will be distributed closer to arrival. No first arrivals to lodge are permitted after 10PM. This is due to the circuitous route in and the sleepy neighbors you have to pass. We aim to be good neighbors.***

Everything was wonderful here - Hell Creek Lodge is beautiful and clean. My friends and family loved it here - it was peaceful and roomy. We would definately stay here again in the future. Ivy Vacations were super friendly and helpful. I can't express how great everything and everyone was to us. LOVED IT!!!
Why would you stay any where else. This place has thought of everything. Plenty of room. Plenty of privacy. This is where you stay when you come to Mt. View
Hell Creek Lodge was better than any hotel. Great space inside. 2 kitchens. Plenty of bedrooms. Outside is beautiful. Deer running around. Cave is really cool. Awesome deck and patio area. Everything about the property was perfect for a large group.
Excellent service and a beautiful place to stay! Could not have been more pleased with our week we were there. If ever given the opportunity, we would definitely stay there again.
The lodge was clean and well appointed with plenty of space for our family gathering. It was close enough to town and other attractions to have a full Ozark experience...yet far enough away to have a nice quiet retreat from the hustle and bustle of home and work. Wish we could keep this hidden gem secret!!!
Perfect is a strong word, but it deserves to be used. First of all when I walked into the house I noticed that it was extremely clean. Unlike any other vacation rental I've been to so far. I brought my cross country team of 22 and they all fit in the house perfectly. Plenty of sleeping space. Also, the area outside was well kept. The yard was big and manicured nicely. There were also lots of places for my team to run, whether it be on the long driveway, or walking trails on the property. Lastly, what was great, is that even though it was secluded it was still close to town, and there is so much to do in Mountain View. I took my team to Loco Ropes where they challenged themselves with treetop obstacle courses, and team building activities lead by the staff.
I am still enjoying our family's vacation there, because I can't get my feet back down on earth. Beautiful setting, wonderful accommodations, assistance when we needed it, well-stocked kitchen, lots of room to spread out, firewood by the outside fireplace, (s'mores every night), great ac, lots of ceiling fans, lots of bathrooms, even insect repellent, if we'd been savvy enough to use it! Our children, and their families, said let's do it again next year! That is the sure sign of success.
Hell Creek Lodge was perfect for our family gathering of 14. Everyone enjoyed themselves. Plenty of space. Loved it and would gladly return. The one thing I would change is the advertising of the cave. Not a good situation for kids and most adults. Path is cleared for 3/4 of the way. And then it becomes more difficult. Tall grass and snakes. Cave entrance didn't feel safe. Not sure I would advertise this part of the deal.
The lodge was great. We had a wonderful weekend. The peace and quite were enjoyed by all. The lodge is huge with plenty of room for everyone to spread out. The kitchen was very well equipped and we did a lot of cooking. The only reason for my four star rating is that the grounds coming up to the lodge definitely needed to be mowed.
We had a great time at Hell Creek Lodge. Peaceful and private place with more than enough room for our group of 11. All 11 were very pleased with the accommodations and would love to return another time.
Everything was so beautiful and very well kept! The cabin was well stocked, anything we forgot at home was right there at our disclosure! Definitely exceeded our expectations. The property owner and managers were all wonderful and very easy to work with! We can't wait to come back!
Had a great wedding there but had guests pay and stay else where so we wouldn't kbe charged for having over the 12 people limit. But we got charged anyway for bed usage. If this was clear and made known from the beginning, we wouldn't had used all the rooms in the house. Very disappointed.
Hell Creek Lodge was a beautiful house that was perfect for our extended family vacation. Every couple had their own bedroom and bathrooms were amazing. The beds were extremely comfortable and the house was nicely appointed. We enjoyed the seclusion of the location with easy access to restaurants and attractions nearby. The outside firepit was a real plus! Can't wait to return!
Spacious beautiful lodge with plenty of room for a large party! Great outdoor space where you can do lots of activities!
My family spent a week at the lodge for our grandparents 65th anniversary. This was a wonderful place for all of us to be together, have fun, and enjoy the scenery
Thinking of having our annual reunion here again next year. Excellent property. Only issue is navigating to it. GPS takes people the wrong way.
This is our new favorite spring break location! The location is fantastic. Room to spread everyone out and have their own space, inside and out. The cave was amazing! Thanks for helping our families make great memories!!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Hells Creek Lodge. Beautiful, comfortable accommodations for a large group. We hope to come back next year.
Thank you so much for allowing us to use this beautiful property. We had a large group on a weekend retreat and it was great!! The common areas never felt crowded and the two kitchens made meal time a breeze. We had a crawfish boil downstairs and got to enjoy the outdoors while floating on the White River. Would absolutely recommend this lodge for large family or corporate groups! It’s fantastic!
We had 20 people stay here for family vacation. We loved how secluded it was. We never felt cramped for space. It did rain 3 of the days we were there so we spent lots of time playing board games. The kids loved the cave. Thank you for allowing us to make memories at Hell Creek.
The lodge was perfect in every way! We had 23 people staying in the house for 4 days and there was plenty of space for everyone. Our wedding had 56 guests, all of whom were able to mingle in the house as well as fit in the barn (barely) for dinner. We then cleared out the tables and had a dance in the barn later that night. The Lodge had everything we could ask for. We were able to provide lodging for our out of town guests as well as space for the ceremony in the field next to the barn, and a barn for dinner and dancing all in one spot. We ate pizza for rehearsal dinner (really just board games at the lodge) from Tommy's Pizzeria which was only about a 10 minute drive and the pizza was delicious. Gary from Shorty's BBQ catered the wedding dinner and he was amazing and the food was terrific. He set up in the horse stables in the barn on a few tables. Tables and chairs were delivered by Simply Events. Sandra from Mountains Flowers and Gifts put together amazing flowers for us. Rita Ward was our photographer and she was so nice and easy to get along with, and by the end of the night everyone loved her. We both feel like our wedding weekend was the best weekend of our lives, and it all happened at Hell Creek Lodge.
Our family of 20 had a wonderful vacation week. The property feels remote but it is just 5 miles or so to get to town for eating, gas, groceries, etc. Each day we found an adventure (Blanchard Springs Caves, the Ozark Folk Center, Loco Ropes, horseback riding, etc) and then enjoyed time in the evening as a family. The lodge is well stocked and maintained and Joy our hostess was very informative and provided us with a guided tour of the home as we arrived. I would highly recommend this area and home for a vacation.
Want an amazing stay. Joy was just wonderful and very understanding when we arrived in late. This house could not have been more amazing. We had a group of 14 and there was more than plenty of room. The beds were comfy and most importantly the hot water supply never ran out. Thank you Ivy Vacations for providing a memorable vacation experience!
Our group of 5 couples found this property perfect for our semi-annual retreat weekend. Virtually everything was top notch. Plenty of bedrooms allowed our group to "spread out a little" so we all had some breathing room. The lodge was short drive from Mtn View and Blanchard Springs Caverns. We ate all but one meal at the Lodge during our weekend stay...simply because we wanted to picnic on Sylamore Creek for lunch one day. Everything we needed for cooking was available. No one wanted to leave. On the drive home, our phones kept lighting-up with messages back and forth, about how much everyone enjoyed the weekend, and loved the Lodge. Beautiful place !!!
We loved every minute of our stay! Plenty of room for our 18 family members, fun hiking and exploring the cave, and lots of kitchen] room to cook and grill outside. We enjoyed sitting around a fire on the patio and looking at the stars, some of the guys shot hoops with the basketball that was thoughtfully provided, and our son-in-law with a broken leg had no problem getting in downstairs. Thank you again for a lovely stay; hopefully we can do it again next year!
Very blessed to have had the opportunity to stay here. Beautiful, peaceful and quiet! Very good people to do business with thank you!
This lodge is a hidden gem just minutes out of town with a very secluded feel. It was a wonderful place for us to have our wedding. We held our ceremony on the lawn, overlooking a breathtaking view of the hillsides and trees in their autumnal beauty, and moved to the pasture beside the barn for the reception. There was plenty of room for our entire wedding party to stay and we never felt crowded since the lodge was so spacious. It was very cozy, so we were able to really kick back and enjoy ourselves. The grills were handy in cooking our rehearsal dinner meal, and having two kitchens gave us space to cook all our food for the big day. The outdoor fireplace was a wonderful place to relax and chat over a cup of coffee. Several wedding guests wanted the rental details so they could return for a vacation. All in all, we couldn't have picked a better place.
We rented the lodge for or company Christmas party. Well pleased with the accommodations. Plenty of room for our guest, fire places and outdoor space was amazing! Down stairs area worked wonderful as a gathering place for meals and entertainment. All the rooms were clean and comfortable. We plan to return soon.
Great place to stay for our family and event
Amazing property, well maintained and managed. Perfect for our large group of 18 - highly recommended!
We had 6 families with children of all ages. The cabin was the perfect size and had great accommodations. Kids played basketball, we went on walks, hikes, explored the cave, rode our ATV’s, and cooked our meals there. It’s xlcompletely private and relaxing. We really enjoyed the fireplaces, especially the outdoor fireplace.
We have a large family and the lodge was beautiful and large enough to accommodate all of us comfortably!! It was secluded but close to town. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay again !!
Hi there! We had a fantastic weekend at the Lodge! I was a little worried with the possible icy conditions and our guest traveling, but it all worked out very well. Lots of room for everyone! Comfortable beds! Very cozy. We can't wait to visit again and bring our kiddos with us next time.
Wonderful space with exceptionally kind caretaker!
Hell’s Creek is a phenomenal lodge on a fabulous property! Very well furnished & exceptionally clean. Every question we had was answered in a professional & efficient manner. The AARP (Arkansas Association of Random People) are already planning our next trip :)
Thank you for hosting our reunion. Everyone was absolutely blown away by the lodge. We will definitely be back.
This is a hidden treasure. Our group of 23 people had a great time. We had enough space for all of us and used the kitchen and fireplace area to the fullest. The hiking trails are so pretty and we spotted several deers while walking around the cabin. We will definitely be back.
Our family just returned from a week long stay at the Lodge. My grandkids live in the city and we wanted an outdoor Arkansas adventure vacation and boy did we get it. It's rare that expectations are exceeded but you certainly were able to accomplish that with your beautiful and comfortable destination. The entire environment was awesome and our objectives were more than accomplished. The facility, the service and the overall experience could not have been better. We will be back for sure.
Booked for a young couples marriage retreat. Excellent Location! Clean rooms and great amenities! Many thanks to our wonderful hosts!
Hell Creek Lodge is a lovely, comfortable lodge for a large group of people. This was our second stay and we highly recommend it.
Spacious for large group of people, walking trails close by, plenty of outdoor space for games and such
We had a family vacation with 20 people and this place was perfect for us! Plenty of room for everyone and well kept! Beautiful property! You feel like you’re a million miles away from the world, but then you have access to shops and such just a short drive away. Ivy vacations was very nice and easy to deal with. Would recommend to anyone!
This is the second year our Louisiana family and our Missouri family have met at the Lodge for an extended weekend. The lodge is huge and beautiful, with plenty of beds and bathrooms for all. We love meeting there. Activities abound, from kayaking to cave touring to flea market visiting. We will be back!
Hell Creek Lodge worked great for our family reunion we had 22 people staying ranging in ages 1 through 82. The lodge was clean, beds were comfy, and there was plenty of room for the kids to run around. Our host was very helpful showing us the details of the property. We enjoyed the outdoor fireplace in the evenings, making s'mores and visiting. We highly recommend this lodge, and would consider staying again.
This beautiful lodge was big enough to fit our families and some of our wedding party without us being all over each other! It was a beautiful backdrop to our wedding photos! Loved every minute of it!
We would gladly rent this property again. It was a pleasurable experience!!
Pros: Very friendly and helpful staff Beautiful setting with well established and maintained trails Lots of firewood and spacious house Cons: Not top notch in maintenance or cleanliness, significant mildew/mold in master shower with dripping showerhead, basement shower head sprays in every which way, dust in blinds and dead bugs on window sills, garage fridge dirty and door leading out to garage has blackening/ smudge marks around handle, gravel driveway significantly lower than garage entrance thus making it impossible to park in garage unless driving a truck. These things didn’t affect the quality of our stay, but 2 other maintenance issues did: one of the furnaces wasn’t working, but they did fix it while we were there and the main level oven needs repair. When using the oven and right front burner it shoots out dangerous flames and could have injured someone, we weren’t told of this issue, so not sure if the owners are aware of it. Despite the issues, we enjoyed our stay, found the staff friendly and helpful, but we were slightly underwhelmed by the cleanliness and maintenance of the home considering the cost of renting.
This is an amazing venue with a warm homey feeling. We will definitely be back.
Hell Creek Lodge had everything we needed for a wonderful weekend getaway for our family. We spent hours exploring the grounds around the lodge. The lodge was clean, comfortable, and staff was very helpful with check in. We had a group with ages 3-75 and it was perfect for all! We will be back again next year.
We had 26 people in our party for Thanksgiving. Plenty of space to spread out and not always be on top of each other. The second kitchen made making our big meal that much easier. The property is amazing, we brought 4-wheelers and roamed around and had a blast. The terrain is fun with all it’s ups and downs and twists and turns. Joy was quick to answer any questions or concerns while we were there. I wish we could stay forever! I highly recommend it for a big family or friends event!
The Lodge is beautiful, the hosts are responsive and the place was clean.
Enjoy our visit every time
First of all what a great property. Beautiful home and excellent grounds. Two important improvements needed. First of all the WiFi was completely useless. The speed was so slow it was not useable for anything and with no cellular signal we could not stay connected at all. In this day and age having a useful internet connection is a must. Secondly, TVs are so reasonably priced these days that there is no reason why the master should have a TV that is so old and has a poor picture. With these minor improvements this would be a AAA property.
This place has everything! Tons of space, seclusion, and fully stocked with everything you need!
We really enjoyed our trip. The lodge was spacious and comfortable. Plenty of kitchen space. The outdoor fireplace and seating was awesome even for a hot July evening.
Our family had an outstanding time at Hell Creek Lodge and Event Barn last week. We hiked on the property and in the creek bed, fished in the small pond onsite, cooked dinner on the grill every day, built a fire each night in the outdoor fireplace and enjoyed the many sunsets, moon rises and the star filled skies at night. We also enjoyed the many wonders of nature we saw nearly every day including many butterflies, hummingbirds, deer and much more. When inside, we played games together, did puzzles together and genuinely took time to communicate with each other. This place was just what we needed to wind down and relax! It was an extremely enjoyable week!
Beautiful home. Close to everything. Folk center and Blanchard springs We had 20 out of 24 family members stay this trip. Plenty of room for everyone. Ages 2 and up. Plenty of trails would highly Recommend for large groups.
Loved being away from everything. Great open spaces. Well appointed house. Very spacious and comfortable.
close to the white river and sylamore creek. lots to do and lots of privacy on the property.
We brought our horses with us for a trail riding retreat & found it to be exactly what we needed! Trails are wide & easy to find. Lodge has plenty of room for a big group to spread out. We had a wonderful time!
Just want to say this is the second time me family and friends have stayed here and we love it. We are think about coming back next year again.
Me and my large family have stayed at Hells Creek twice. Both times, we found the property to be fantastic and private while still being close to a Walmart. Additionally, there are the Blanchard Spring Caverns, Loco Ropes, OK Horseback Riding and some good small town shopping nearby. Overall, I think that this property is fantastic and a perfect spot for a large family get together. No place is perfect but I've never been more pleased than at Hells Creek. The ONLY thing that we wish that they would add is a hot tub!
The location way everything I wanted. Private and beautiful.
Our extended family of 21 stayed at Hell Creek Lodge for the second time and loved it. There were just enough bedrooms for all of us. We enjoyed games and meals and ATV riding - but mostly just being together in one place. We’ll be back!
This place is priceless !
We had a wonderful stay at Hell Creek Lodge. We had 26 family members here for 5 days and 4 nights. The entire property is beautiful! It was the perfect location to get away from the busyness of everything and slow down. We enjoyed the property to roam by day including the Park lands that adjoined the property and the cave to explore close to the house. Our younger kids enjoyed fishing and making s'mores at the fire. The property is large and there is lots of safe space for children to explore and play! The home was great for holding us all. I would caution families and groups to check the layout of the beds to be sure the configuration works for you. We were able to accommodate our large family but ended up having some kids on air mattresses and some unused beds due to the layout. Totally our fault for not checking first, but we made it work! There was plenty of gathering space in common areas for everyone to be together or in smaller groups in the same area. The owner walked us through the property on arrival and when we pointed out a heating issue, they promptly had a maintenance crew there to fix it. There were a few things that we noticed that need to be fixed or added that may help larger groups in the future. The ice maker did not work on either level. We turned it on when we arrived on the main level and it began leaking on the floor so we turned it back off. The bottom floor did not work at all. We made do by running to town and getting several bags of ice. There is plenty of storage space to keep it. More table space would be great. We used a narrow, decorative table in the hallway for an extra but having a few fold up tables that can be set up when needed (for playing games, eating, etc) would be wonderful. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our time here and are so glad that we found this place! We would recommend to anyone needing a large space to gather!
