We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful cabin. When we read online it had 900 square feet,we expected it to be tiny. The way it's arranged makes it seem much larger. My favorite part was the screened in porch. Loved drinking my coffee there rocking in one of the two rocking chairs. Our grandchildren enjoyed the game selection- the six and seven year olds learned to play checkers and Sorry and the four year old played Candyland. They also enjoyed the inner tubes and rafts which were already blown up. The porch is well furnished and it is a peaceful place to relax. The cabin is very comfortable and the decorating is well done. There's a beautiful stone fireplace . The creek is close by and it is beautiful! A great place to float, raft, play, and relax. I highly recommend the Sylamore Retreat.

We had a wonderful time in Mountain View! The cabin was perfect. If you are looking to get out into the country, but still want the comforts of home, this is the place for you. The decor was wonderful, the beds were really comfortable, and the location was perfect. I can't say enough about the creek and the crystal clear water! Bring your creek shoes and your sense of adventure!

The Sylamore Creek Retreat was absolutely amazing. First and foremost Virginia, Emily & Savanah with Ivy Vacation Rentals went above and beyond to make my experience excellent. When I booked this trip for me and my Lab, I wanted to chill and be able to walk to Slyamore Creek from the Cabin and enjoy all the splendor that it offers. Only 100 yards to the Creek and from there trek up or down stream as far as you want and find a beautiful spot to set up a chair and soak up the sun and nature. After enjoying day out on the Creek with my dog, We would trek back to the Cabin and relax even more on the peaceful front porch as wildlife passed through the yard towards the Creek. I went hiking on the Mirror Lake Trail one day and it was great because it was only a 10-15 minute drive from the cabin and offered beautiful landscapes along the trail and I didn't sacrifice any time getting back to the Creek for the afternoon. What can I say about the Cabin itself, the word Awesome! Comes to mind and I would recommend this Cabin to any of my family and friends. Having just been renovated it felt brand new. It was a great place to clean up, eat and when you need a dose of technology they had wireless internet and Roku tv to watch any streaming app you want. Did I mention eat, Ivy Vacations offers concierge services for food and Virginia and Savanah brought more than enough food out to the Cabin after I arrived. Savanah baked some delicious casseroles for breakfast and dinner and they were so good! They also brought up sandwich fixins, Beer and many other snacks and drinks that I enjoyed the entire time I was there and had a little bit to take home with me. They say that the first time you travel to Mountain View it's just a visit, and the second time is when you move there. The Sylamore Creek Retreat, and all the great people with Ivy Vacations rentals will have you wanting to pack it all up and move to the mountains. Thanks, -BM

I cannot say enough good things! My group consisted of 4 adults and 3 children. Though the cabin is small, but it makes the most of the space available. We felt there was ample space to not be on top of each other. Of note, the couch hide-a-bed has memory foam mattress that was just as comfortable as the "real" beds. The interior cabin looks JUST like the photos... beautiful, modern, yet rustic. Plus, the attention to detail made for a comfortable stay. There are plenty of towels and wash cloths available. There are even separate "creek towels" so no need to bring your own. There are a few board games and card games for adults and children. As noted in the description, there is NO cell service, but the wifi was fast and reliable. The kitchen is also well appointed. Any common utensil is stocked, plenty of dishes and cooking pans, paper towels, dish soap, etc. There is a coffee pot, microwave and dishwasher. We LOVED the front deck and spend most of our cabin time out there. There was seating for 6 and the view was so peaceful. The cabin is very secluded, yet super close to town and to Blanchard Springs. There are only three other houses down in that creek area. We spoke to two of the neighbors, and both were super friendly and welcoming. The walk down to the creek is only a few steps away. It was cool and crystal clear. The area we waded in was perfect for our little 5 year olds. It was just deep enough for them to "swim" and splash around. We went down to the creek each day we were there. As stated, the cabin is at the bottom of a steep hill. This cannot be understated! This hill IS steep. And it is gravel. The first time down was rather daunting, but my little Camry ma down and up without issue.Virginia and Emily at Ivy Vacations were exceptional to work with. They were friendly, professional, and answered all my questions in a timely manner. Bottom line, book this cabin! You won't regret it!

We had a wonderful trip! The cabin was beautiful and hosts gracious, can't wait to return.

Great weekend. Nicely decorated, fantastic views, great swimming. Will be booking in the future.
  8. 5/5
had a great time love the water and picking up rocks great town with all the lil antique stores very nice cabin thank you Kim Bumpus
  9. 5/5
Had the best time with my husband, 5 year old son and dog. We were able to relax in cabin which was very nice and able to walk a few steps down to the creek. We all had a blast and will definitely be returning. Would definitely recommend this one for sure. My only regret is we didnt book our stay longer. Lol
  10. 5/5
Very private cabin with just right amenities. Took some chairs down to the creek and found a nice spot to hang out all day. Looking forward to the next visit.
  11. 5/5
Gorgeous scenery and the weather was perfect during my stay. Can't wait to go back.
  12. 5/5
Everything as explained and a cute little cabin. Decorated tastefully. A little more remote than we were expecting.
  13. 4/5
What a beautiful little place by the creek! We had everything we could possibly want there except......a wood burning stove! We were so disappointed when we arrived to find that the stove that were in the pictures when we booked it was not there! Other than that....we loved the place!
  14. 3/5
Lovely, quiet cabin, tastefully furnished, but the unfortunately not quite as listed, 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom. It really should be listed as 1 bedroom with bathroom access through the one real bedroom. The second bedroom is actually an alcove in the living space, not in the least private. As we were two unrelated couples, this was awkward, and took some diverting of eyes. It really is more suitable for one couple, or at best one couple with small children who fall asleep quickly. I can’t imagine 7 people- the dining table only has 4 chairs, and anything more is cramped. One bathroom for more is also problematic. Directions were perfect, but driveway reflectors would have made our night time arrival easier. ( “ Daniel Boone” ) graciously steered us to the right cabin. A few suggestions to make this rental even better: dish towels to dry handwashed dishes, more kitchen terry cloth hand towels, new/ replaced dishwasher pods( old ones don’t dissolve well) , Kleenex, paper napkins, salt, and extra blankets. We had to use the daybed cover and a car blanket. Would we rent this cabin again? Well, only as a single couple, but as we now do an annual two couple trip we would not consider this particular one again, but would be very open to other choices.

We stayed in the cabin for three nights with our 4 year old and 1 year old. It was exactly what we were looking for: creek nearby, remote location, close access to caverns, parks, and town. I would stay here again in a heartbeat! The first morning we woke up, we were walking down the drive to go fishing in the creek and a beautiful, mature bald eagle flew right over us. It was majestic! We caught trout in the creek and had a campfire at night. During our stay we visited Angler's/swing bridge, Mirror Lake, Blanchard Springs Caverns, walked the square and city park, and simply enjoyed the slower pace of Mountain View. I hope to go back one day!
  16. 5/5
We stayed at the Sylamore Creek Retreat for 4 nights. It is a small cabin, but 7 of us slept comfortably. We all enjoyed our stay and did not want to leave! The view from the porch is stunning and we enjoyed drinking coffee and relaxing in the morning. The creek was amazing and the water was crystal clear. Our kids enjoyed skipping rocks, hiking and fishing. The town of Mountain View is wonderful! Everyone was sooo nice! You must eat at the Rainbow Cafe. They had the best chicken fried steak and pies. Jo Jo’s catfish restaurant is also a must. We intend to come back many more times in the future. They only cons to the whole experience was the kitchen utensils LOL .... need more and better quality.
  17. 5/5
The cabin was really cute and well stocked with the necessities in the kitchen and bathroom. I saw it a review items not stocked but we did not experience that. There was plenty of pods for the washing machine and the dishwasher as well as plenty of cooking utensils, blankets etc. Really enjoyed the creek, clear and clean. Very peaceful. Lovely view from the porch.
  18. 4/5
The area of Mountain View is breath taking and we enjoy a quiet and wonderful stay at the cabin. We enjoyed an afternoon in Mountain View eating at Missy's Cafe and browsing through several shops. The cabin was very comfortable. We enjoyed our stay. Mary & Joe Hartsburg, Mo.

Really enjoyed out stay at the Sylamore Creek Retreat. I was able to share the area with my best friend who'd never experienced the peaceful and beautiful Sylamore Creek, Blanchard Springs Caverns nor the Ozark Folk Center, etc. The cabin is great - not too big, not too small. All the conveniences we could need. We relaxed on the front porch with our coffee watching deer come down to the creek in the morning, sunned ourselves sitting in the creek rapids with the bluffs and wind in the trees as our view, loved swimming and snorkeling in the deeper swimming was like being a kid again. Thanks Ivy Vacations, it was a great stay!
  20. 5/5
Beautiful little retreat. All you need for a peaceful break!
  21. 5/5
My family and I went to the Sylamore Creek Retreat for a birthday weekend. We stayed two nights and thoroughly enjoyed the cabin and the location. I have two young girls and we played in the creek for hours, exploring the area and enjoying the flora and fauna of the area. I definitely recommend this little retreat to anyone who wants a private getaway!
  22. 5/5
We had a wonderful stay. It was just as described. It was so peaceful and our fur baby loved playing in the creek. We can’t wait to visit again.
  23. 5/5
Me, my husband, two teenage kids, and three fur babies had an awesome time! We searched high and low for somewhere we could take our dogs on vacation and my daughter checked Airbnb which I would've never even thought to do. When we saw pictures of this place we were immediately in...and it didn't disappoint. It was just like photos VERY clean and decorated with just the right touches. We built a fire, walked the creek, enjoyed just sitting in rockers on the porch taking in the sights and sounds. Truly worth the trip. To anyone wanting a scenic stay that feels very private but at the same time not far from food, shopping, and many outdoor activities AND if it's important to take your pups than this is the place for you. From the easy booking process, great communication from hosts, superior cleanliness, to the awesome amenities, can't say enough about why you and your four legged friends should stay. Have a great relaxing stay, I know we did! P.S. my husband recommends keeping the trash inside until your checkout day. 😉
  24. 5/5
Such an awesome house with the perfect location on Sylamore Creek! This is our second year to stay in this same house and it was just as great as the first time. We always enjoy the creek...the swimming and the fishing. The water is so clear you can see them bite your lure. As always Virginia, Danielle, and Terry provided us help when we needed it. You really can’t find better people to stay with...I promise you! Thanks again for the cherished memories that will not be forgotten!
  25. 5/5
Thank you for a wonderful weekend. The cabin & grounds were more than expected. Appreciated so many homey touches. Thank you for checking on us during the power outage. We didn’t take advantage of the creek like we wanted... one pup hated it & one had a small cut foot pad. For future guests: dinner options being very limited, I suggest planning to eat in or grill. Although JoJo’s & Anglers both had good food. Most dining places are only breakfast/lunch. Hope to visit again & get to stay longer.
  26. 5/5
Perfect getaway for the family! We all loved it and didn’t want to leave!
  27. 5/5
My wife and I enjoyed the solitude of the cabin and we never once turned on the TV. Very peaceful quiet cabin location. We had a few locals running ATVs one night near by, but they did not hang out long.
  28. 3/5
A friend from church recommended this vacation home as we have a toddler and thought that the creek might be a fun option for us. So... we booked! The house is super cute. The location is remote and quiet (other than the 4-wheelers one night down at the creek). The creek is a short walk and is a beautiful view. We saw a great blue heron and a deer down by the creek. Our toddler loved throwing rocks in the creek! Our disappointment rested in that the house was not as clean as it should have been. There was black dog fur throughout the house. I get that we rented a place that allows pets, but I also know that those pet owners pay an additional cleaning fee for those pets. So, when we arrive there shouldn't be a sign that a pet was once there. There was pet fur on the floor, on the sofa, bedspreads, even in a cereal bowl that was on the shelf in the kitchen. My suggestion would be that there are bedspreads/linens/mats for pet renters and pet-free renters. I offer this suggestion because it was just gross to see dog fur in the bed after we had one night in the bed. My husband was also not please by all the cobwebs and lack of dusting on window sills, etc. My thought is that the cleaning people are just doing the basics - taking out trash, a quick wipe down of the kitchen and bathroom, making beds. Perhaps a deep cleaning is needed. Another disappointment was in the lack of pantry basics. I haven't stayed at many vacation rentals - maybe 3 total - but this is the first one that had no pantry, except for salt & pepper and a tiny amount of sugar. So maybe put in the notes that guests need to be prepared to bring anything that they might need as the kitchen doesn't store any pantry basics. With all that said, we had a fun time in Mountain View. We enjoyed a day at the Ozark Folk Center. We had a fun time at Blanchard Springs Cavern. I enjoyed a craft beer at Gravity Brewery. We took in a night time show at the Ozark Folk Center and our toddler danced all night long!
  29. 5/5
We loved our stay. The cabin was very nice. The road getting to it was trip.
  30. 5/5
We stayed three nights at Sylamore Creek Retreat, and wish our stay had been longer! The cabin is comfortable and darling. Owners have thoughtfully furnished and supplied it with everything one might need, including reading material and family games. Communication in advance of our stay was excellent. We hope to be able to return for another stay soon.
  31. 5/5
This place was perfect! My husband and I brought our 2 kids (10 and 6) and it was the perfect size for all of us. The place had just about everything we needed to feel cozy and just a hop, skip and jump from the creek. Can't wait to visit again!
  32. 5/5
Cabin was exactly as described - had everything we needed. Location was great and already planning a trip back when it's warmer to more fully enjoy the creek :)
  33. 5/5
Retreat is the perfect word! The cabin is so sweet and comfortable and in such a beautiful and quiet location. I wanted to stay longer but will just have to come back again (and again)! Thank you!
  34. 4/5
The kids and I enjoyed our stay and we really loved the peace and quiet there. It was so nice to get away from all the noise of our daily life.
  35. 5/5
The home on the river was as precious in person as in the pictures. We Enjoyed the location being somewhat remote and private as well as a hop skip and jump to see otherArkansas trailer and shopping. The home was well stocked with essentials and personal touches for the family. And was very suitable for bringing our four legged fur buddy. Thank you a lovely experience. We enjoyed the great outdoors as much as the board games on the rainy days. We hope to revisit this home.
  36. 5/5
very clean. booking thru checkout excellent service. nice beds. close to creek and short drive to any attractions! would stay there again. 2 adults and (3) teens. played board games at night, hiked during day.
  37. 4/5
It was a super cute little cabin for getting away and unplugging. We built a fire outside and the host was gracious enough to allow us to bring our pup. It was right on the river and it was nice to be able to just walk right to it! Definitely bring everything you need for cooking and coffee (minus the coffee maker) as we had to head back out for filters, sugar and oil/cooking spray, spices, etc. Perhaps bring your own pillows and fav blanket too! I would def stay again when it gets warmer, so we can take full advantage of the great location!
  38. 5/5
We enjoyed our stay at Sylamore Retreat. It was everything we wanted it to be and more. The cabin was secluded, cozy, and clean. It was furnished with the essentials that we needed. We really enjoyed sitting on the porch and listening to the river and wildlife. We plan to return to Sylamore Retreat in the future. Thank you for such a wonderful stay!
  39. 5/5
I can’t say enough great things about Ivy Vacations and Sylamore Creek Retreat! It was a wonderful and relaxing vacation. The cabin was just gorgeous inside and out. We had views of Sylamore Creek. We had my mom, my husband, my daughter and our three dogs and we had plenty of space. The cabin feels very private, there is a neighbor down the gravel road that you pass to walk to the creek, but as far as having privacy from the porch you have complete privacy. We could seriously just move there permanently and it was would be perfect! If you’re looking for a romantic getaway or a family trip this is the place. Ivy Vacations took great care of us. We will be booking with them again!
  40. 5/5
Cabin was excellent. Great location on beautiful creek. Ivy Vacations was on top of everything. Cabin was very clean and welcoming. The porch is great as well. They also had great extras like a fire starter (which we forgot). I definitely recommend the Sylamore Retreat cabin and Ivy Vacations. It was a great experience!
  41. 5/5
We loved this cabin. Plenty of space and the owners are very nice and helpful. I will definitely be back.
  42. 5/5
Wooded area with cabin near the creek. Cabin was neat, clean and nicely stocked with items needed to make it your home away from home. Awakening to the birds singing and going to sleep to the sounds of crickets, frogs and the trickle of the water running down the creek was very pleasant. There was a fire pit with seven chairs around it but we were unable to enjoy this time (next time). Dawnette was a pleasure to work with during the entire process.
  43. 5/5
We enjoyed our stay at this lovely retreat. Nice walk to the creek which our two little dogs loved.
  44. 5/5
There wasn’t a question left to ask after reading all of the details about the cabin. Dawnette text me & was so sweet! Providing all info I needed & a number to text/call for anything. Cabin was BEAUTIFUL! Walk right down to the creek! My only complaint... the pull out bed on the couch leaned. But hey... it’s a pull out couch! A basket was left on the table with little gifts & necessities we needed! We didn’t need to bring a thing other than our own belongings! Extremely happy with this stay & the Ivy company!!!!
  45. 5/5
Loved the cabin, property, and location. Creek is a gem. Fish, swim, kayak, tube it. Local area offers plenty. Go see Blanchard Springs Cavern, loco ropes, or ok trading post. Take precautions for ticks and chiggers, they are abundant this year. Cabin set up well for dogs - porch is closed off and they can relax without being tied up when on it. Loved our stay.
  46. 5/5
Our stay at the Sylamore Creek Retreat was fantastic! The cabin was perfect. It was just as described. Small, but precious and perfect for our family of four. The kitchen was well stocked and they even provided a nice basket with a good supply of essentials like laundry detergent, dish detergent, trash bags, etc. The beds were also very comfortable which is a major plus! I can’t say enough for the creek itself. The water was even better than described. The water was beautiful. We fished, skipped rocks, explored, and soaked up the sun all day. The area was more remote and private than expected, which was a plus for us. We liked the privacy. It was a great area for our children, 8 years old and 11 months. Ivy Vacations was helpful and We will definitely be back!
  47. 5/5
This is our second time renting from Ivy Vacations. We’ve had a great experience both times. Sylamore Creek Retreat is perfect. The cabin was clean and comfortable. The creek was awesome. The kids had a great time swimming and exploring. We will definitely return next year.
  48. 5/5
This was a perfect weekend getaway for us. Everything we needed was provided to us or we were advised to bring it with us. The staff was only a phone call away and so easy to communicate with. Will definitely book again!
  49. 5/5
This place is a great way to get away from it all. It’s quiet and surrounded by nature but only 5 miles to town. You can walk to the creek and relax in the water., surrounded by the Ozarks. Highly recommended!
  50. 4/5
We had the best weekend getaway and Fourth of July at our adorable and quaint cabin. Everything was clean and tidy. Kitchen was fully equipped with everything we needed to stay in and cook and grill. The only negative was the beds were hard as a rock. My husband and I slept on the bed in the living area and both woke up stiff each morning. My mom and step dad slept in the bedroom and my step dads back was re-aggravated after the second night sleeping, as he already has back trouble. We were all glad we were there just a few nights because we couldn’t have stayed a week on the beds. The other was all the centipedes that were coming inside, especially in the bathroom. But we realize we were out in the woods but if that could be fixed that would be great. We loved our stay and had the creek to ourselves each day. The big front porch made it so enjoyable and peaceful sitting out early mornings and late at nights! If you like a very firm bed, I’d highly recommend staying here a week, but the weekend was just the right amount of time for us with those beds!
  51. 5/5
We had the nicest time at our cabin in the woods. The cabin was very clean and orderly. I loved the decor ❤️The best part was the creek, just down the hill! We swam, sunned and kayaked for 2 full days. It was so peaceful and beautiful. I wish I didn’t have to tell others about it! But we will definitely be back!!
  52. 5/5
Our family of five loved this cozy cabin. The place was comfortable and stocked well with all the essentials we needed and more. We had the creek to ourselves and enjoyed hours exploring up and down the creek. We all agreed we can't wait to come back to this perfect spot!
  53. 5/5
This was our second time to stay in one of the Ivy Vacations cabins. They do a fantastic job and their cabins are great. The décor is beautiful- very "Fixer Upper-ish". They are clean and well stocked with everything you need and then some. Very thoughtful and accommodating and the cabins are all located in the best locations for relaxation and communing with nature. I can't recommend them enough! We will be back!
  54. 5/5
This cabin was way more than we ever thought it would be! The beautiful views outside, peacefulness, and beautiful, rustic, decor inside made this cabin so relaxing!!! I seriously wanted to just stay in and not leave the whole weekend!! We did however go to the Blanchard Springs Caverns, Loco Ropes, and Jojo's Catfish!! All were short drives from the cabin and all did not disappoint!! The cabin is stocked with plenty of firewood, games, a tv with a good amount of movies to watch it you do need to be indoors, and the creek is so beautiful with clear water. We can't wait to come back!!!
  55. 5/5
    Very nice place!
  56. 4/5
The customer service through Ivy Vacations was superb from booking to leaving. Best customer service we've ever experienced in our many travels! The cabin was cozy, had a fantastic view and was 800 ft or so from Sylamore Creek. Overall the cabin was well appointed EXCEPT on condition of the non-stick skillets. We only trusted one and we had to spend time washing and reusing the same one all within the same meal. These are not expensive to replace... We loved it overall though!
  57. 5/5
We enjoyed our stay and Ivy was amazing at communication. Our cabin had everything we needed and the bed was so comfy. The cabin was not far from town yet far enough to feel secluded.
  58. 5/5
We had an amazing time at Sylamore Creek Cabin. It was perfectly tucked away down by the creek and cozy as ever! The drive there is so pretty and the views from the cabin are as well. You can hear the the creek all day and night and it's so peaceful to just sit in the porch and enjoy it all. No cell reception made for a nice disconnect from everything, the provided wifi helped when we wanted or needed to reconnect for any reason. Our toddler and 10 yr old loved how close we were to the creek and that it was just a stroll away. They also enjoyed the Netflix and fireplace on the cold mornings before our adventures at the nearby Caverns. That place is amazing and the people there are so helpful. We went hiking everyday and explored the nearby town and went through a scenic drive to the bluff. We brought all of our own groceries and everything we needed to cook was right there at the cabin. We grilled everynight and had a bonfire at the firepit with smores and hotdogs. It's a great place for a romantic getaway or for a small family. Check in and out was super easy and they were super nice and helpful if we had any questions during our stay. We cannot wait to come back during the summer to enjoy the creek more and do some more exploring! Thank you so much for sharing this secret place with us! The Johnsons

We had a great time unwinding in the quaint clandestine cabin. Highly recommend. Would go back every weekend if we could!

This was a very cozy and clean place to stay. The whole family loved it. It was very secluded yet still very close to Mountain View and Blanchard Springs. We really hope that we can stay again when the weather is a little warmer.
