I came out here to bring some work with me to get done without the noise and distractions of every day life. It's so peaceful here. Wifi connection was great. This adorable cabin had all I needed to relax and rest. There is a lot to do nearby and I'll definitely be back to indulge in other activities besides work!!
My boyfriend and i had the best time at Jack’s Bend at Sylamore Creek!! From the very beginning of booking to saying goodbyes. The pictures do not do the cabin or the grounds justice! It was THE perfect setting for our romantic getaway! We spent the day fishing at Sylamore creek below the cabin and the evenings by the campfire!! Cannot wait to book again!!
We were looking for a quiet spot on the Sylamore Creek and this cabin was that and so much more. The cabin has everything a person would need for a fantastic visit. Everything was very clean and the staff was so nice when we booked this place. From the hammock, tothe nice area around the fire pit, to a cabin that was beautiful with all the extras, we will be back
Perfect little cabin for a bachelor get away to kayak or fish. I'll be back soon for sure
What a beautiful spot! Even though the cabin only has 600 sq ft it seemed much larger. Kitchen plenty big with dining area attached and sitting area with a nice TV with roku. The bed is a comfortable queen. The outside is what we really enjoyed. Right on a really pretty curve in the stream. My wife caught her first small mouth bass! That was a real treat for both of us. Emily and Virginia could not have been any more accommodating and helpful. Emily even had suggestions on fishing tackle. We will be coming back with friends and stay in the larger unit (Jane's). Thanks for making our stay great. We really enjoyed Blanchard's Springs also. If you are there on Friday and Saturday try Yoder's baked goods. Really tasty!
My dog and I had a very relaxing midweek stay. Even short notice, they were very accommodating and welcoming. I would recommend and hope to stay again.
This was a very nice cabin in a great location. We enjoyed the stay very much and will definitely work on getting back soon!
My wife and I stayed here recently and have nothing but wonderful things to say. The cabin was in excellent condition and the scenery was just what we needed for a relaxing trip in the Mountain View area.
Very clean. Cool rock forest!!! On the creek.
Stayed 4 nights but only had towels for one. Cabin was clean, very quiet, nicely decorated. No dishwasher but problem was no dish drainer and single sink in kitchen. Really could use fans on porch as well as inside. Larger cabin had convenient access to creek and kayaks for their use. We were told to walk to swing area (please don't disturb the Big Cabin), walk out to road the long way. This area was a snake pit with no access to creek. They need to remedy this. Thankfully the 15 min walk to low water bridge was worth it. Saw several nice cabins while in town about the same price but offering much more. Will think hard about coming back.
Everything was Fantastic! Cabin was exactly as pictured and very clean!, very relaxing and the swimming was great. We would love to bring our whole family on our next visit! Thanks for a great 3 days
I rented this house along with Jane's Bend at the same time for my bachelor party (I say "party" but in reality is was more like a short vacation with a bunch of friends). This was my first AirBnB experience, and it was excellent. Absolutely no complaints or problems. Emily and Virginia where very fast communicators, very friendly, and very accommodating. I didn't spend much time myself in the Jack's Bend house, in fact I only stepped inside once or twice, but it looks like it had everything you need for a couple or small family to enjoy their time in the Ozarks. Outside the house was the best part. Sylamore Creek that ran behind the property, and the water was so refreshing! It was very clear and nice and cold in late August, and there was fish, mostly trout I think, everywhere. I saw a few big ones but we only managed to catch small ones. We also kayaked and canoed up and down the stream, and it was amazing. That was my favorite part of the trip! This place was the perfect Ozarks hideout! It was tucked deep into the forest far away from the bright lights (you can see the milky way with the naked eye!) and busy streets, yet the house has everything you need to live comfortably just like your in a big city hotel or something. The best of both worlds. I'm thinking about coming back here soon!
Due to our wonderful hosts, our stay at Jack's Bend made our trip to Arkansas easy, comfortable and welcoming. The cabin had everything we needed. The area was great! My husband loves to fly fish and the creek close by was perfect! Even though it rained a little, the caverns nearby offered us another option. Our two dogs enjoyed the walks on the many trails. It was a wonderful stay. Thanks so much Emily and Virginia!
Wonderful cabin in a beautiful setting. Communicative and helpful hosts.
My human friend, Jeanette Wood, and our canine companions, Indy Anna Joan and Sophie, absolutely loved Jack's Bend. It was perfect for 2 people and was furnished and decorated perfectly! The setting was the real star though-right on Sylamore Creek and far off the main road. We are already planning our next trip and plan to ask other friends so we can stay in Jane's Bend Cabin. We were able to tour it when the maintenance man was there and the cleaning lady. It is awesome. The large deck overlooking the creek , the swing on the side deck and the fire pit area make me want to share and enjoy with others. I'm anxious to go to your website and look at the other properties you have too. The only issue I would want to mention is the hot water in Jack's is dangerously hot and needs to be turned down. We really had to be careful. Also, if a light fixture could be installed separately from the exhaust fan in the bathroom that would be great. Both things would be more energy efficient too! Thank you for a great weekend of swimming, hiking, star gazing and relaxing! Patricia Hillis Little Rock
This is a great cabin in a beautiful location!
Great Cabin and excellent accommodations for two plus two dogs. The only thing I recommend is to change out the shower switching spout. This is not user friendly and I doubt that only 3 people in 10 can figure out how to switch tub to shower. Since I have seen this type before I knew how to use it. Very clean facility and well maintained. Will go back again.
We stayed for two days at Jack's Bend and enjoyed it. This is a basic cabin in the valley, or hollow. if you like trout fishing, it is immediately available at Sylamore creek, a running stream with rapids and pools. The "half mile" drive on the well kept gravel road may seem longer, and probably is, but you will like the location. We built a fire on the large rock slab behind the cabin and watched the sun go down on a cool evening. Central air and heat with an adequate kitchen mean you don't have to "rough it." Take a walk down Double Bridges Road to see more of the creek and other homes perched on cliffs and bluffs for a picturesque adventure.
Our family had the most wonderful weekend at Jacks Bend. The cabin was the perfect size for us. It had everything we needed and was very clean. We enjoyed walks down to the creek, sitting on the porch and even the grandson loved relaxing in the hammock. In the evening we made a fire in the pit and all sat around with our family talking and laughing. It was just a great weekend and we will definitely be back to stay in Jacks Bend,
Good time. Great location. Beautiful scenery. Had our wedding outside the cabin with gorgeous view.
cabin was very clean and well kept. stream was awesome. we had rain the first two days but the next two it cleared up and we were able to enjoy the outdoors
We loved our stay at Jack’s Bend cabin! The cabin was clean, comfortable, and well decorated; and the kitchen had plenty of dishes and cookware. My favorite part was the never-ending supply of peace and quiet though! It was close to town and easy to find, but far enough away to feel secluded. We enjoyed all of the outdoor seating, as well as walking the double bridge loop road. All-in-all it’s a great getaway!
Wonderful location not too far from town, but directly on the south Sylamore creek. The creek was high due to rain and it was a pleasant sound to hear the creek running. The home was exactly as described, photos do it justice, will be back again.
We absolutely loves staying here. The location was great and close to everything we wanted to do in Mountain View. The cabin was cozy, clean and welcoming. We absolutely enjoyed our stay here and would love to come back some time!
We had a great stay at the cabin! Met a nice couple that was staying next door and let us cut through their place to see the creek. We went to Blanchard Springs Caverns and the Ozark National Forest, and those are a MUST SEE!!!
Best vacation I’ve had in a while, cabin was perfect, clean and comfortable. At night the stars were the magical, I have not seen so many stars in decades!
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Jack's Bend. We had a large group, so we booked Jane's as well. It's a perfect location to access all the fun of the Mtn View/Blanchard Springs area.
Good location, pleasing decor and updates, water with rocky beach you can walk to, owner very easy to work with and communicate with, quiet sleeping, would stay here again!
All was wonderful. We enjoyed our stay very much. We were in Jack cabin and our Daughter & family in Jane. It was fun for the kids to be able to go back and forth to both cabins. Would love to come back again.
We rented this cabin along with Jane’s next to it. The cabin is very clean and comfortable. The kitchen is well stocked. The added on deck next to the barn was a great place to look at the stars.
Jack’s Bend cabin was PERFECT!!! So clean, newly and tastefully updated, and so quiet!! Close enough to town to grab necessities at Walmart, quaint downtown with lots of antique shops and boutiques. Drive out of town just a few miles to eat at Jo Jo’s Catfish on Sylamore Creek, visit Blanchard Springs Caverns, a must see!! (Just take a left at the top of the road on 87). Everyone we came in contact with was super friendly and helpful, especially Dawnette in the office of Ivy Vacation Rentals!! The only drawback was the road to the cabin is really rough!! But, worth it!! Thank you for sharing a beautiful place in the mountains of Arkansas!! North Texas
